National "Wear your school colors to work" day, ESPN promotion

I'm sure any of you who watched last nights SC-Vandy game noticed the repeated promos on ESPN for National Wear Your School Colors to Work Day today. It was a kind of cheesy made-up promotion, but since I occasionally wear an LSU golf shirt to work on casual Fridays anyway, I figured I would go ahead and wear one today.
What is mildly surprising is that I have literally not seen a single person today with their college insignia anywhere in sight. Not in the large downtown office building where I work, not on the crowded streets in the area, not on the Metro on the way to work. Nowhere. Not a single college shirt, hat, etc. anywhere in Washington, DC so far today.
Did any of you wear your school colors/insignia to work today?

I actually watched the whole game and didn't see it at all

No I'm too embarrassed to admit I am a south central Los Angeles Crip. I like the benefits in case of a knifing or being shot.

I did. Got my purple and gold LSU logo golf shirt on.
Another dude in my department sporting a Tennessee Vols shirt.
But I'm a code monkey in the Pac Northwest so we're allowed to wear pretty much whatever we want.

I didn't play dress up today, but I did pass a guy in traffic flying a script A car flag and wearing a crimson and white polo in Houston at lunchtime. All I've seen so far.

At my job today, I'm wearing an LSU shirt and our accountant is wearing her Texas shirt. Our Penn St. VP wasn't in the spirit. The rest have no clue. They're oblivious.
Hell, I had to recommend the movie Blazin Saddles to one guy here a couple weeks ago. He came in today and said he turned it off after watching half of it. Who the hell wouldn't watch Blazin Saddles in its entirety???

I'm amazed they still show that movie on basic cable.
Any day now, I expect the NAACP to orchestrate a mock funeral to bury that movie.

In all seriousness, do you blame them?
If I'm a Penn State alum, I'm not sure I'd want to wear Penn State logo apparel right now either. Not out of shame or embarassment, but because I wouldn't want to have to field idiotic comments and questions from other people.
