I can't believe Arkansas is too poor to step up its game for football in the NIL/Portal era.
At one time Arkansas had a rich football tradition. It's shame to see it fade into the abyss. In the last ten seasons they've only had four winning seasons and three of those four were 7-6.
It may be too late. Then again, I never thought Ole Miss would be relevant again but Kiffin pulled it from the trash heap.

With the exception of Notre Dame you guys were competitive last year in almost every game, even though you lost them.
I do think that Nevada game is kind of a new thing. Haven't seen you get pounded like that by a non power school. I mean don't follow your OOC games that closely, but I would assume when you scheduled that you looked at that game as a win. Losing would be bad. Losing like that though...whoof.

Maybe at the end when he knew he was sunk.
But Kelly through Notre Dame and most of his tenure at LSU showed emotion (anger) quite a bit on the sidelines.

Kelly was an a-hole at Cincinnati which carried over to Notre Dame. His behavior there embarrassed the school to the point he was told to tone it done.
By the time he got to LSU he was so fake it was near impossible to over look it.
Not sure of any coaches that are so engrained in their schools that they couldn’t be lured away, but Kelly sure was the epitome of the traveling salesman.
I hope Arkansas finds it footing. Even though Arkansas has a bunch of billionaires it doesn’t mean that they care about football much less Arkansas enough to part with a 100mil (which would be what it would take to change coaching staffs and help NIL).

The only animosity I had toward Arkansas for many years was in basketball stretching back to the battles btw Norm and Nolan's teams. (as an aside - I ran into Nolan Richardson at a Mizzou game when Mike Anderson was our coach, and Nolan was wearing some Mizzou gear...it was really odd and just didn't seem right).
Since MU was invited to join the SEC, they have tried building MU/Ark into a "rivalry". But for me, I find myself empathizing with Arkansas fans more than being a rival. I was at MU in the 80s / 90s and know first hand that when your program is in a hole, lacks resources, and has an incompetent/indifferent administration it is really hard to dig out - and easy to dig a deeper hole. I sincerely hope they get this figured out (there should be plenty of money in NW Arkansas). I'd much rather hate Arkansas (well, on Saturday anyway) than feel sorry for them.

When I was a kid Arkansas was an 8-4, 7-5 program with the ability to jump up to 9-10 wins if they had a freak superstar that could carry the team. Seems like the damn Grand Canyon separating them from those days.
