Nice arbitrary cut off. Don’t let UGA fans trigger you so much.

This one stings(pun kinda intended) a bit but I have to give it to old Bobby Ross, he did a good job with that team and was a pretty good coach overall. He went on to lead the Dan Diego Chargers to a Super Bowl but they got ran over by a juggernaut 49ers team.

What UGA chapped your arse today? Be honest. This is an obvious response thread.

I will say this....while Auburn should not count 2004, they were rooked by not getting a chance to play for it.

I never denied it.

or 83 or 93 yet some of their crazier fans do. As Lanier stated they have 57 and 10, and even 57 is iffy considering they were on probation and didn't even get a bowl game.

if you counted them in all sports what would the rankings be then? just curious.

Us claiming '41 is an embarrassment...y'all got robbed in '83 though (similar to us in '77)...'93 not so much...

The 1981 cutoff seems arbitrary, but I like it.
Especially when you consider that Georgia won the only national championship of the 80's.

Not SEC-related, but SMU actually claims 1981 and 1982.

Man that is some little brother shite there. Why does it matter what Alabama claims? Regardless, Alabama should have won in 1966 (only undefeated untied team in the country) but doesnt. Alabama should not claim 1941. Im hoping one day they wont.

Laugh now, but it seems close to a lock UGA wins a natty in the next 3 or 4 years at least

Aside from this, people act liek 38 years is some all timer of a record streak. Does it suck? Hell yeah it does, but we're about a top ~12-13 ranked program all time, it's not realistic for us to expect to win a title once per decade. Look at these other droughts:
Texas went 36 years from 1969 - 2005
Auburn went 53 years from 1957 - 2010
Ohio State went 34 years from 1968 - 2002
LSU went 45 years from 1958 - 2003
UF went about 90 years before their first
As you said though, it looks likely that at some point in the near future that drought will end. Then UT will be on the clock.
