Clemson is not LSU, and Clemson only became relevant in the last 5-6 years. You're giving Clemson way too much credit. If you haven't noticed, Clemson is losing it's momentum as a program.

that's not true, it was decent under Frank Howard, the guy before Danny Ford, great under Danny, decent under guy after Danny, decent under Tommy Bowden.

i think you've been hitting the Finebaum too much.

bama didn't score much in that game, 2-3 more plays on offense for Clemson and Clemson probably wins it.

What??? Hahahahahaha!!! Clemson had no offense in the game whatsoever. 2 or 3 plays my arse. You're a fricking idiot.

Because you're a pussy and pulls for a team that plays in a pussy conference that isn't used to playing real competition. "It's not fair."

this is dumb given Clemson blew out Alabama last time they played and won another game on a clutch drive. Only lost a 3rd title game to bama due poor special teams play.

and Clemson's record against SEC teams the past 10 years. UGA couldn't score a TD on offense against Clemson.

Clemson had to play a conference title game that year while Bama sat at home. that was an advantage similar to Ohio State last year only playing 5 games.

Clemson will win at least one natty in the next 5 years.

realistically it was a stretch this year with new QB, WRs, and RBs, and more key injuries this year than normal.

16-9 and most of the wins were vs South Carolina.

Dabo would have the fourth or fifth best win percentage against SEC teams compared to SEC coaches.

Winning one game in one season doesn't make Clemson sustainable or on a level with LSU, and most certainly with Alabama. Don't get me started on the ridiculous easy path Clemson has to the playoff every year. Clemson had a few good years, but you're getting way ahead of yourself. Clemson is going to fade away, and likely already is. Alabama and LSU aren't going anywhere, and the SEC has only just begun running college football. It's about to get worse for the rest of you.

WHen FSU was dominant, Clemson had one of the hardest paths to title games and playoffs. We are in the same division. Nobody gave us an excuse then.

I think Alabama is more likely fade away than Clemson is, post Saban.

SEC has basically formed a monopoly because they fear a 12 team playoff will level the playing field.

Georgia owns your arse.

Clemson beat UGA in Clemson with Tajh Boyd. UGA got a break when facing Deshaun Watson early in his first season when he still backed up Cole Stoudt.

Clemson has played Auburn several times. i believe they have won 4 in a row against Auburn. Auburn people complain about playing Clemson too much (b/c they lost) lol

I am curious why LSU didn't win a national title between the segregated 1950s and Nick Saban.

I think the AP sports writers had to much power before the BCS era started. If you go back to the era prior the the BCS (1998) the sports writers voted (AP Polls) on who would be the champions. Most of these guys were on the NE Coast and West Coast, in the big cities. NY, Chicago, LA, maybe Dallas etc.

The largest population of writers in the south were probably in Atlanta. Bottom line, there was no respect for the SEC in this profession except for Bama, and they had to earn every bit of it in the 60 and 70s.
If you go back 50 years prior to the BCS, Tennessee, LSU, Auburn, GA, Bama x6 and Florida won the AP Polls from 1948 to 1997. 11 nattys went to the SEC in 50 years.

Since the BCS and Playoffs started it took a lot of the AP power out of the hands of the sports writers. Since 1998 there have been 13 nattys from the SEC in 22 years.

Therefore it was Northern aggression of the press that kept all the SEC down. haha
