Name a QB from a previous year that would be a great fit in your current offense.

For the sake of argument, let's stay away from QB's who just recently left the program. Some more than others are very obvious.

I've been following an account on Twitter that has been showing Tyler Russell highlights, and I can't help but think how perfect of a fit he would have been in Leach's Air Raid offense. The guy had an absolute cannon and was known for being almost too much of a pocket passer a.k.a. A Statue.

It's a shame that his throwing abilities were essentially underutilized with Dan Mullen's option attack.

I have a few suggestions below for other schools, but I'm certainly no OC, nor do I pretend to have some vast knowledge of SEC history.

LSU: Matt Mauk
Texas A&M: Ryan Tannehill
Arkansas: Tyler Wilson
Alabama: AJ McCarron
Ole Miss: Eli Manning
Auburn: Cam Newton
Mizzou: Brad Smith
Florida: Tim Tebow
Georgia: Matthew Stafford
Vanderbilt: Jay Cutler
South Carolina: Todd Ellis
Tennessee: Tee Martin
Mississippi State: Tyler Russell
Kentucky: Tim Couch

If Gitmo is going to be the quarterback just take your damn pick. I guess if you have to give the guy some credit he doesnt turn it over that often.

LSU: Alan Risher - absolutely loved this guy when I was a kid. I think he’d flourish in our current offense.

Tyler Wilson was tremendous in the passing game for Arkansas, the kid could really sling it around. I don't, however, think he would be a great fit for the 2020 Razorbacks because he was a bit too willing to stand tall in the pocket.

It is an admirable trait, but with our likely offensive line it's a trait that will get a QB lit up like a Christmas tree.

My pick would be senior season Brandon Allen. He had good pocket awareness and was mobile enough to extend plays and scramble for extra yards. A QB who will take what the defense gives him and not get greedy might be the best choice for us this year.

Risher was very good, but my pick would be Tommy Hodson.

Damyeune Craig could probably do some things in Gus’s offense.

Erik Ainge wouldn't be bad in Chaney's current offense.

Justin Fields

With what he has at his disposal this year it is just going to be unreal.. that is if he plays more than a half in every game. I must admit that kid made the perfect decision for himself. OSU and Fields appear to be a marriage made in heaven.
