Derrius Guice. POS human, incredible running back. What could have been

Not sure if it's still the record, but he ended his career as the all-time SEC leader in ypc. He also is tied in SEC history for most 250 yard rushing games with 3. Regardless of his off the field issues, I think it's lame LSU removed his name from the school's record books.

I have definitely not forgotten about him. Class act, amazing back, and horrible injury luck.

I have no clue why people keep saying Lattimore. He had a path to becoming an all time great based on how he started off. What makes him even more memorable (sadly) were the grotesque injuries which derailed him.

Despite all that he STILL came back and played some ball, though he could not possibly return to form of his younger and healthy self.

Steve van Buren is the greatest forgotten NFL RB of all time. He was Jim Brown before Jim Brown but he has two NFL titles (back to back) to Brown's one.

He was good, but it was said he didn't attend school his last year. Of course, that probably doesn't matter much now with salaries, but then it was a disgrace.

Have not read the entire thread but it seems like Tre Mason used to kick our arse on a regular basis.

career was pretty mediocre but caught the Miracle on Markham from Matt Jones to beat LSU in LR.

Cecil Collins would have been one of the greats but made some bad off the field decisions. Dude was a stud!

Lawdy…A&M sure sure needed Woodard the last three years in the SEC, given our well known inability to gain that one or two yards when it was desperately needed in games.

Moss was that guy last season until he got hurt and everything went to shite.

Trayveon Williams should qualify for this thread.

Yep. Shula recruited him, but barely used him (plus he was injured in 06'). I always considered him a Saban back. His touchdowns runs vs Arkansas and Kentucky in 2008 were spectacular.

One of the best edge rushers to play for LSU.
