I have two.
Gene Stallings, the last of the gentlemen coaches. Hard to find a better man on or off the field.
Mark Richt, a good man. Ran a clean program. Great role model for his players.

Bobby Bowden. Heard him speak at a church in Atlanta once. I was stunned, the guy was hilarious.

Josh Heupel - to deal with a trashy fanbase, deal with an eating disorder and still slog his way to almost as many wins as Brian Kelly is impressive.

I’ve always had a lot of respect for Brian Kelly when he was the head coach at Notre Dame and Cincinnati. Great guy! Terrific coach!

Bill Curry, he always conducted himself with class.

Shug Jordan, Auburn. I was only 10 when he retired in 1975 but as I got older and learned more about him I grew to respect him. Dude was injured and got a Purple Heart and Bronze Star in the Normandy invasion. Healed up and went back into the battle in the Pacific theater.
“He’s got more courage in his little finger than I’ve got in my entire body.”
- Bear Bryant
Interesting factoid: He and Bryant both died at age 69, 2 1/2 years apart.

Dye had his number but he was a respectable 26-10 at Bama. If he had beat Auburn 2 out of 3 he probably could have kept the wolves at bay for a while longer but since it led to Stallings I’m glad he didn’t.

I always liked R.C. Slocum at aTm. His teams were a hard-nosed bunch.
Steve Spurrier.
And of course, Mark Richt.

some good ones listed in here..
obviously coaching legends such as Byrant, Jordan, Beamer, Dye, Spurrier., Saban. etc..
can personally attest that Stallings, Bowden & Tuberville came across as genuine, personable & very likeable guys... (probably true of many coaches though.)
