To all of our OU brethren, my wife and I are taking one of our kids to OU for a college tour in a couple weeks. What are some must see things around town? What are some good places to eat too? Thanks in advance!!!

They have a water tower that has "Norman" painted on the side of it.

It's gotta be an awesome place. Recruits and Players are killing each other to go there.

Visit that fast food joint where ex-Sooners RB Joe Mixon knocked that chick tf out, then order extra fries to celebrate the fact he was allowed to come back to the team and play!

Red's Car Lot is also a historic landmark. I think it's at the intersection of Switzer and Boz Blvd.

There used to be a statue there of a big fat woman with basketball titties.

Tarahumara's is some of the best Mexican food you’ll ever eat. Get the pork fajitas.
Edit to add: the owner is so confident in the cleanliness of his kitchen, he has cameras overlooking the cooks and TV’s throughout the restaurant showing the live feed.

Right over just west of campus there is a sign for I-35N, take it to I-240E and then onto I-40 E, in 2.5 hours you'll start to see trees. When you get to Salisaw, take 59 south to Wild Horse BBQ and enjoy. Its the one redeeming quality that Oklahoma has, besides the Mobile Home Museum near Ada.

There’s Lake Thunder Bird and Riverwind Casino! If that’s too much fun y’all can take the 25-30 min drive north to downtown OKC. Plenty to do and see there.

Not true. Pete's Place in Krebs used to be pretty good family style Italian.
Oh, and they have a prison rodeo in McAlester, plus lots of sleazy motels in every Air Force town.
All kidding aside, I used to work in Norman a lot. I always enjoyed it.

That's in between Moore and Norman in all the new construction on the north side the OU is the famous one that is always shown on broadcast and seen in downtown Norman and Campus so...

If you get there before the 15th of September I’d go to Bricktown and catch a minor league baseball game.
