A legit shot at making the playoffs in football is a serious run at the NC.
Making the ncaa tournament and making a run is a seriotus run at the NC.
Making it to Omaha is a serious run at the NC.

It takes a lot of energy from September thru January to be a fan of football. I -love- Bama football, but it's the only sport I care about b/c true fandom takes effort. The rest of sports watching that I do is purely recreational and b/c sports are great. But I can't "get into" other sports. I wouldn't. I don't want the mental obligation.

What is the SEC known for?
Why does the SEC have a show just for that sport at locations around the SEC?
Truthfully, every other SEC team, with the exception of Kentucky, would trade places with Alabama in a heartbeat. Alabama is king of THE SPORT in the SEC.....

3+ loss teams don't make the playoffs..
Your playoff run will be over in early November (when Bama skull fricks LS8u -soon to be L9u)at the latest.

Baseball - well that's your Niche sport and y'all will be really good this year so I could see a run to Omaha.
However the SEC is loaded this year. Vandy, UF, MSST, UGA, Ark, Ole Miss, TAMU will all be good teams.
Who ever wins the SEC this year will have seriously accomplished something great.
I hate that Bama has been bad lately but we're at a serious disadvantage to teams like LS8u and UGA who have a better scholarship program they can use for Baseball players.
