Why don’t you kindly point out which cities in Mississippi would theoretically be a good trade-off for Lafayette

no, no. Go back to you assertion that Lafayette would be the plum of MS. I want to hear more about this Garden of Eden

So if you had to pick you would take a baseball and basketball national championship over football

Lafayette is a below average city, but again, it’s better than anywhere in Mississippi. It’s MUCH nicer than Jackson and it’s actually a viable city to live in if you enjoy doing things other than running through cow pastures and doing meth, unlike anywhere in Mississippi.

I’m not pumping up Lafayette, it’s a mediocre city but what’s better in MS? Gulfport? Biloxi? Starkville? Jackson? Your entire state is a joke and has virtually no redeeming qualities.

I mean, it's terrifying to look at the SEC baseball schedule as a program with a young head coach trying to find our footing. You could easily feel like you are getting better talent wise and have a decent squad and go 10-20 in the league.

Exactly. A very good young coach with a decent squad could easily find themselves in the bottom 3rd of the SEC.

Welcome to the SEC!

Its a big reason why I think, unless there is a scandal or they just completely fall apart year after year, you need to give coaches 4 or 5 years in the SEC before you can tell what they bring to the table.

Yep - I mean, I don't think we're going to great this year, but I do think we will be better. However, we literally play 21 of our 30 games against teams ranked in the Top 16 nationally. The other 9 are against South Carolina, Texas A&M and Auburn (not exactly pushovers).

It's hard to see a scenario where our bunch wins more than 11 or 12 SEC games - and that would be great progress.

Helluva league.

found the college student. Because Oxford, MS would be a wonderful place to live as someone who has a family and needs to, you know, send their kids to school and do something other than own a frat fig clothier or work for Ole Miss. And at Biloxi and Gulfport. You’re an idiot.

I mean it’s a simple question. Is Mississippi not one of the worst states in the country by every measurable standard, along with not having a single marquee city like New Orleans? Am I wrong?

Uh, no. Pretty far removed from that.

Oxford would be a great place to live as a young family with kids.

Oxford or Lafayette, LA? Yea, I'd pick Oxford every time. Have friends who finished school there, moved off to Dallas/New Orleans as young professionals, got married and then moved back and started families and they absolutely love it.

You asked if they were better than Lafayette. I mean, yea, they are.

Mississippi does not have a city that compares in any way to New Orleans.

Other than New Orleans, there is nothing in Louisiana that is any different than Mississippi. So, if you are talking about New Orleans vs any city in Mississippi, New Orleans wins. If you are talking about anywhere else in Louisiana vs Mississippi, you are talking about the same damn place.

No, I’d take the three women in bed.
Not sisters or cousins.

My point was that LSU has the opportunity to win a Natty in all three.

Now let’s review Georgia’s program....
