this thread hurts, but it's the truth
it's about time I start dealing with the truth - we are a one sporter
thanks for the straight talk Rohan. Best straight talk thread I've ever seen.

LSU is currently 1-3 in conference at 6th place in the SEC.

3 Major Sports
I'd love for someone to explain how baseball is the where the "Major" line is drawn
3 Frozen Four games averaged about 400000 viewers
1.5 million watch Women’s CWS final
2017 Women’s final 4. All 3 games over 1.5 million with a championship game well over 3 million
2018 CWS 1.1 average. 2 million watched the championship
700,000 watch wrestling telecast

Bama won 10 consecutive recruiting championships before UGA even got involved. Bama keeps Rivals and 247 in business.

Congrats on your 3 sport success. But to answer your question, probably not as depressing as losing to a team 8 times in a row and knowing that team beat you head to head for one Natty and probably cost you a couple more by beating you head to head.

LSU will be in the position to make a run for a Natty in all three major sports for the foreseeable future.
So much winning, man.

Let's be honest.. LSU is legit in the following:
- Football
- Baseball
- Basketball
- Softball
- Gymnastics
- Track and Field
- Golf
- Beach volleyball
I'd say there aren't many schools out there that are above average in that many sports.

I enjoy LSU's sudden obsession with Gymnastics. 7 years ago, they were averaging less than 3,000 in attendance per meet and were making fun of Bama fans for caring about it. This past year they averaged as many in attendance as they do for Baseball (and led the SEC), and created a Gymnastics recruiting thread that is currently over 50 pages long.

There are at least 3-4 in the SEC who are/have been generally over the last 5 years (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M, Kentucky).

In that many sports? Maybe a handful for each of the schools. But I can't imagine all of those. In all seriousness, I'm trying to see if there's some sort of composite rankings of schools entire athletic programs.
ETA: My mistake - I will grant you Florida for sure. This was an interesting read and incorporates football, basketball, baseball, wbb, and softball

Not good in women's basketball. Not that good at football, and about to get curb stomped by UT in men's basketball.

I have been bested
I mean LSU has great athletics - and their ranking will probably be close to the Top 10 this year with basketball doing well and football finishing in the Top 10 to go along with their other sports.
This league just has a whole bunch of athletic departments that have become really good and have at least 3-4 elite sports each (or like 15 elite ones at Florida). There are only a few schools left that just truly don't compete in a bunch of sports.

The SEC has awarded an All-Sports Trophy to the best overall sports program in the conference since 1984, and Florida has won the award 28 times as of 2018

Hey I just appreciate that you came with the stats and you can have an actual sports discussion on here
But yeah I'm not sure how I overlooked Florida. They are good at just about everything.. as much as it pains me.
