He hasnt been a real DC in like a decade? Everyone knows his time at UGA was him just collecting a check as Kirbys friend. Offenses have changed a lot in a decade. Lets see how he adapts

Great hire! I always wanted to see a Saban-Muschamp reunion in Tuscaloosa but understandably he was doing his thing as a head coach.

lmao SC and AU have a way of making great coaches look shitty. As another example see current Broyles award finalist mike bobo.

At some point people need to realize maybe the coach isn't the problem but the program..

Muschump's character issues have nothng to do with his mediocre existence as a coach.

He'll have to have a very very strong HC governing over him and checking his paranoias and insecurities .... and not even Kirby could put up with his polar personalities and his throwing wrenches in the gears.

Muschamp returning to Texas means only one thing in Muschump's mind, guaranteed.

Muschamp never makes those around him better ... they're only there to serve his machinations.

I am very disappointed in this move, but in fairness to WM, he was Co-DC on 2 recent national title teams. I think he knows a bit about current offenses.

Man that could be a great hire…

mebbe …. this is a perennial discussion I have with a group of golf friends, most of which graduated from UGA.

We all agree … unanimously… that Boom was once a solid coach, but that he has little fire remaining . Still has a shyte-ton of knowledge, but in an off field role.

Once upon a time he was a great coach, IMO.

Sark trying to do some coaching rehab?

I wonder if he finally ends up as the Texas HC. I never would have guessed it.

Muschamp was extremely involved in UGA's defense. He was co-defensive coordinator for a while. Most UGA fans will tell you there was a drop off when he left.

Feels like repeatedly getting punked by GA played a big part in this move.

Keeping Flood and getting rid of PK is the most Texas thing ever lol.

It appears the only person on the planet that can’t see how shitty our offense is just happens to be our hc/oc.

None of this is surprising our fans will start cleaning out a trophy case preparing for the national championship only to have that same confused look at the end of the season when nothing has changed
We get what we deserve

Apparently Pete wanted to get back to PNW. Oregon DC job is open. I’m skeptical of this hire though. PK proved he had his thumb on the pulse of how to shut down variations of spread & power spread offenses. He was lights out. Would Muschamp hold OU to 9 points in two years. Would he hold that ‘25 A&M offense to 17 points?

I thought your defense was the main thing keeping Texas relevant the past 2 years to be honest.

FEI rankings:

2023: #6
2024: #3
2025: #13

Look into the covert actions of Special Agents Muschamp & Bobo at other SEC programs.

Pete saved Sark's arse multiple times while the offense was taking their usual mid game nap.

I know Will has a reputation but, I'm very skeptical right now. Sark better do something about his offense or this is going to cost him big time

I was SHOCKED when the texts starting coming in about this while on work calls. Mainly because Kwiatkowski did a good job (Akina was the man in his prime, but game passed him by so not surprised by that decision). But Muschamp is an elite DC. He's not HC material but that's not what we hired him for so I am cautiously optimistic. He did an A+ job the last time he coached the Horns.
