UCF’s AD is the brother of the UF basketball coach. Mullen’s gonna get his arse beat if he’s not careful.

I just don’t see why UCF would turn it down.. seems like a win to get the Gators once at the bounce house. They’ll never get a better offer with a Top 40 school than 2-1 , until they’d ard in a P5 conf.

I like how DW has been promoting the Knights , I like how he stirs the pot and pisses everyone off. Until now he’s been underdog banging at the gate; but this decision is based on arrogance. This backfires on him!

Why would we sign a 2 for 1 with a lower ranked team that didn’t even go bowling last year? Danny offered a neutral location but the Gators keep hiding like a bunch of cowards and refuse.

Anyone, anytime, anywhere. If your team is so damn good it shouldn’t matter where the game is. Pussy arse move by UCF.

because it’s a huge win for you to get the gators in your stadium. You’ll make more money off that game than you will for all your home games combined the next 2 years.

You don’t do this. You can forget any power team coming there or inviting you to play them anytime soon. And it’s not because anyone is scared, it’s because your fun story has turned to arrogance.

Have fun scheduling sunbelt and conf USA teams now.

SMH here. This was a win - win for UCF.
UCF would have had the opportunity to go win twice in the Swamp and then have the Gators at home in-between.

Basically it was no lose deal for UCF. Win and you really win. Lose and no big deal because you were supposed to lose anyway.
All the pressure would have been on Florida.

Can’t believe they let this slip through the cracks. Probably will not get another chance as UF did not even have to offer this deal.

Yep. Uf will never go out of their way to help the little guys now.

It was a terrible gamble and ucf lost.

Because you're a mid major with a shitty schedule that is going to have to prove you deserve more than what you get.

A better question is why should a major football playing program come to your shitty little stadium to play for 45,000 and less money?

Danny offered a neutral location

UCF is not in a position to demand, or even ask nicely for, neutral site games.

UCF's stadium is far from "shitty". It's nice and new. Florida is scared of UCF in this situation. If Florida had the dates for a 2-1, then they have the opening for a home and home along with a neutral site. A 2-1 is undermines the quest for national relevance that UCF is on.

It is Danny White's job to ensure that UCF is treated like a big-boy. The fact that we are having this conversation shows that he is doing an amazing job with his athletic department. The fact that so many people are angry with UCF shows that there is a large group of people who are very afraid to play them at the moment. UCF is legit.

The high school stadium?

Razorback Stadium is the nicest facility in college football.

It seats 80,000 with 10,000 club seats. Everything is newly renovated within the last 5-10 years.

Look at Boise State who has earned the benefit of the doubt over 10 years.

They have had 3 P5 teams come to their stadium OU, OSU, and UVa. In 08, 09, and 17. And have gotten a couple of kickoff games. That’s while avg 13+!wins a year

UCF, while undefeated the last 2 still has a season where they went 0 fer in the last 4. You have to earned nothing without McKenzie. Nothing!!!

UFC is still a piss poor commuter school in a lower school. Once you get into a real conference, then you can start asking for neutral site games with P5 schools. Until that happens, you better be damn thankful that a P5 school is even willing to play you at all. P5 schools have absolutely nothing to gain by playing UCF. Know your damn place in the college football world.

It is their path to national relevance. They aren't going to get anywhere scheduling home/homes with UNC and Pitt.

But they aren’t a big boy. There have been many teams going back to the late 70’s early 80’s who had to go anywhere to prove they could play with the big boys(see late 70’s early 80’s FSU and Miami). I’ve never seen a team cry, whine, and bitch so much trying to seek attention. Why would Florida go home and home? Why? They gain nothing. I think 2-1 was pretty damn generous by the Gators. Go play and beat them UCF and you gain everything. Seems UCF is scared and likes playing the victim narrative.
