Y’all will regret this. The guy went to the SEC title last year and gave Bama by far their best game. This was always a rebuilding year for UF with all that y’all lost and you’re the only ones too retarded to see that.

Well, LSU fired a coach 2 years removed from a national title….

Bama did lose a game this year so I’d say A&M gave them their best game.

He must have had a good Barry Manilow tune playing on his headset.

Lord help us if we were to bring Mullin on our staff. He and Kelly would probably double team the players on the locker room “dance floor”.

We don't do participation trophies around here, friend.

We don't lose six games around here, that gets you fired.

Literally cannot wait for this next chompter of Gator football to begin in earnest!

That’s not far from the ceiling for every UF coach not named Spurrier or Meyer.

Damn you corndogs not only smell but ur retarded too. Do you understand that it was all downhill from here? Every preceding season would’ve been like this because he wouldn’t let go of dead weight assistants, he wouldn’t play the best players, the gap with Georgia was no longer shrinking it was widening and he was so bad at recruiting that it was almost impossible to believe. And we should’ve kept him because he played Bama close? Sorry bud this ain’t Corndog State University where we hang on to a coach for “almost” beating Bama like y’all did with Les for another 6 seasons after 2011 lol. Enjoy your weirdo fake southern coach

Not to mention the dude obviously wanted out. Everything about the way he behaved after the LSU game this year screamed "fire me"

It was a rebuilding year, yes. But the university and AD were looking for a reason to fire him over off the field stuff. They didn't want to give him a contract extension after 2020 and winning the east. So, they gave him a meaningless contract extension where the buyout didn't increase.

Something happened to Dan Mullen in 2020, and I don't know what it was. He was acting erratically the entire season. He cried about Texas A&M letting a few too many fans into the game during the pandemic. He then said we should pack the swamp with 90k fans the following week. He was almost getting into fights and then showing up with Darth Vader outfits. He told ESPN announcers before the game against LSU that winning it didn't matter because as long as he wins the SEC championship the team will be in the playoffs. He sat his best player out of the game and generally didn't give a shite. Before the bowl game he mentioned that his team may not even bother showing up. The AD had to then come out and talk to the press to say that the team will in fact show up to the Cotton Bowl. In the Cotton Bowl he gave up before half time and started playing freshman and walk ons to induce a blowout. Then in the press conference afterwards he says it was a "nice scrimmage" and the 2020 team played their last game against Alabama in the SEC championship game.

Something happened in 2020, and it just took until this season to work itself out. The guy wanted to be fired. Mullens actions in 2021 proved that. You don't keep someone around who wants to be fired. You're the only retard who would consider such a thing.

Not really.

Something happened to the UF fans in 2020.
Mullen was the same. The same Mullen at Miss St.
But the honeymoon was over?
Florida fans felt embarrassment (and florida admin doesnt handle embarrassment well)?

I promise you. Mullen didnt change. But how you perceive "the coaching genius" most certainly did.

Less than 9 months ago you guys were convinced he was building a champ.

This is the 3rd guy in a row your players and fans have turned on and quit on, maybe it’s y’all and not them?

The glaring flaws that we were warned about from other fanbases, the ones we blindly ignored because "they were just scared", they became painfully evident in latter half of 2020. It was obvious to everyone it was going in the wrong direction at breakneck speeds and a change was needed. We made a change for the better.

Georgia fired the greatest coach in it's history because he couldn't win the biggest games, and they don't even have a history of championships. But it was time. And they knew it. Same deal here, it was time and we knew it.
