It’s like transferring to Michigan.. just a better choice than a Mississippi school

1) Go to State

Only thing guaranteed about Ole Miss is that they will finish dead last.

Haven't we beaten you like 8 times out of the last 10?

If Old Piss swept us in baseball for 15 straight years we probably still have a winning record on them. If our basketball sucks for the next 30 years they might catch up there too. They just mad about being little brother.

Malik was a great get being a 5* out of Callaway HS and a legacy player. His dad played at State and was probably his biggest problem at State. Horatio wanted to tell Howland how he wanted Malik to be used. Howland did some bud nipping and that was a done deal. It is better that Malik go somewhere else. He would have been a cancer on our team had he stayed. We miss the talent but I don't know of any State fan that misses the drama. He is better off there for many reasons; and yes, playing the Final Four is huge.

He sure does look like cancer for Kansas.

Kansas obviously was a better fit. Apparently, Self and Horatio see eye to eye or Self doesn't mind a player's dad running his program for him. Malik had a monster out of the ordinary game yesterday. Good for him. I had to look up his number when I remembered he played for them. Haven't kept up.

I doubt anybody tells Self wtf to do on the court or with his team. Newman won the game for Kansas going down the stretch and OT.

21 year old , on his 2nd team, isn't demanding to be the PG and run the show. And so he fits into his role & excels. Shocking.

I mean, c'mon dude think a little bit about each situation. At State he thinks his stuff don't stink because is is supposed to be by far the best player on the team. At Kansas he's just another big time recruit. That'll change your attitude, as well as it being his 2nd school, so if he goes to Kansas and acts like a jackass he's probably done.

So you’re saying Howland never really put him in a position to succeed ?

I don't know what all went on with him. He had nagging injuries a good part of the year. It's been a couple of years now but I remember being underwhelmed with his ability to shoot with a decent defense in his face. He didn't have that problem in high school. I seriously didn't care whether he left or stayed. Maybe he was like Ben Simmons. Needed to be in the pros. So he is at home at Kansas.

He did not have the right supporting cast at Msu and I don't think he wanted to wait on recruiting to build one. It was a good move for him, I'm not upset over it. Also, yes he had an injury that was nagging too. Sometimes things just work out this way. I wish him well.
