Cohen is the epitome of why the majority of America hates baseball. Makes games last forever and miserable as frick to watch.

Cannizaro actually managed last night's game in a very John Cohen fashion.

There are reports that PM told Cohen to tread lightly because AC didn't have head coaching experience. He was literally trying to hose him out of the job for his own personal gain. I would be pissed as well if I were AC.

This^^ I'm pretty sure that Butch has some arms at Auburn that MSU could have used this past week-end

The kids wanted to play for Butch. That's the way it goes

That quote and also conspiracy theory is he did the same with Tulane.

And to clear the record, Cohen developed a relationship with Andy before Andy was at Lsu. He was a scout for the Yankees scouting lindgren when Cohen began talking to him about coaching.

Usually the HC wants his assistants to be successful but this is not the case.

If you're going to take this quote at face value:

quote:

‘Wow, John, you’re taking a chance on a guy with only two years of coaching experience,

You also have to believe that this part of the conversation happened:
quote:

Yeah, but I’ve heard you speak so fondly about him and say so many things, it really has made an impression on me.

Like Cohen is remembering a brunch conversation between him and Mainieri where they gossiped about their assistants.

Here is the entire context. You sure did spin the shite out that.

I think Paul is a little miffed that he gave AC an opportunity and he was on the fast track to being a head coach, no loyalty at all from him.

With that said, a job like MSU doesn't fall into your lap and with all the other MSU ties there is no way he could turn that down despite the timing. It may never present itself again.

The recruit who decommitted from LSU Tanner Allen and immediately changed to MSU didn't help either.

The biggest issue PM had was that Mangum was texting all the LSU players before any notification AC gave to PM and that he had been speaking with Cohen all along.

See you in BR next year for the three game series - 8-0!

I think this "beef" is probably blown a little out of proportion

The recruit thing may have stung a little but I doubt that this would be any true motive

If there is any truth to the beef, I would assume it would have more to do with a lack of transparency in the hiring process of AC. A lot of unwritten rules in baseball about how you are suppose to go about things and I think AC and Cohen slow played it

Who cares lol LSU was 5-0 vs MSU this year...Pawwwl made that arse quit and start throwing at the LSU hitters. Gfy.

Edit. Not saying Andy made those calls, but someone did and MSU was definitely throwing at LSU. Esp Kramer.
