I thought it was a shitty call until the replay showed he lifted up when he lunged to hit him. Going to be called every time and rightfully so.

Look Dum Dum, any shot to the other players head is the same penalty whether you kicked him, forearmed him, helmeted him or whatever. There is good reason players can't dish out head shots to other players, even if it appears to be conicidental and not head hunting as appeared to be the case here. You still have to control your body and what it does and not play reckless with a shot to another players head.
