so that's how Mullen got the Florida job?

He created a bad product and Florida wanted some of that?

Yep... In every way possible, MSU beat LSU... Except the one that counts. Final score.

It's due to the lack of experience in the younger guys.

I think Leach is on schedule with his previous stops. This team is much better than where they were this time last year. They just aren’t good enough yet to overcome bone-headed plays.

Rogers is OK, but his inability to pull the ball and run for yards when it is there is a problem. The 8 that drop don’t have to worry about QB runs. If they did, there would be bigger gaps for passing.

State's talent relative to the reet of their division is basically the same as TT relative to the BXII South or Wazzu relative to the P12 North that he was in at the time.

Not at all. You have a coach who does a better job in coaching up players than most who is now getting quality players.

It's nowhere near the same.

I'm sorry, are you arguing that his style of offense faced similar defensive talent in the P12 North or B12 South? That's absurd.

I'm arguing that the AIR RAID in the SEC will have SEC talent.

I'm telling you history shows that the AIR RAID has beaten SEC talent without itself having SEC Talent. Ask LSU about that lose to Troy.

quote:

Oh yea? Well then he probably needs to figure out how to use it against these defenses he supposedly has more weapons to fight. Because their offensive output has been awful for 1.5 years now.

That's the whole friggin topic! geez

LOL! Bless your heart man. There was a coach in-between Mullen and Leach.

An OC he is. But he sucked as a HC. Was way in over his head.

I wish Moorehead the best. He’s having a good year so far. Hard to follow the most successful coach we’ve had and be successful. Wasn’t a good fit but also hard to come into the toughest division in college football and win consistently. Lack of discipline was a major red flag for those teams.

I think he was screwed by Mullen. I think people miss the fact that the Discipline under the last 2 years of Mullen was not good.

Yes sir. Don't get me wrong. Moorhead to the reins and at that point, it was up to him to get rid of or handle it.

He tried to friend them too much.

Leach is MSU"s Bielema. A coach who had success with a style that isn't relevant anymore.

Air Raid was created to attack defenses that are built to stop the run and utilizes blitzing and man coverage in pass defense.

Defenses now are built more to stop the spread and pass.

He refuses to evolve his offense to adjust to the new defenses.

State could very well be 0-4 as well.

Leach has faced 3-8 his entire career. You act like the SEC just invented that.

Watch a game. Find footage. They have guys open all game. ALL GAME. It's the lack of experience of the So QB.

We have that same issue BTW.

LOL! Ok. History.............

Ask LSU what's different between that product they put on the field Saturday and their 2019 run to the title? Do you want a hint? They tried to rush the ball 27 times and ended up with 63 yards. That ain't going to fly in the SEC. You get 63 yards out of 27 attempts that is just a plain inability to play with physicality at the LOS. All the offense is squarely on the shoulders of Max Johnson and their defense to win games. By the way, because they couldn't sustain drives, their defense ended up being on the field for 88 plays. You think the barners are plainly aware of that when they play the purple people this week?

Laugh all you want about history but Leach hasn't won anything in the SEC with this one-dimensional approach. And neither will LSU.

I think coach Leach is great. Sure better than the Moorhead malaise we went thru. Just have to stop the mental errors, blown coverages, etc.
