I certainly have no qualms with Hoover. I am just being selfish in wanting it to be closer to me from time to time!!! I would bet many others share that sentiment.

Yea, I’m not completely against moving it, but the folks just calling for the closest domed stadium to their house are idiots. The SEC has clearly tried to make Hoover a tradition with different branding and marketing plans.

For those who haven’t been, it’s an extremely cheap trip, free parking, cheap tickets, tons of RV parking. Good enough restaurant and hotel accommodations near the stadium. Then there is the finely center, which if you have young kids, is a game changer. With 4 games a day, most years we are battling the heat mixed with some rain, being able to take the kids inside and play free games/ entertainment is what seals the deal for me. I just don’t know of any other place that offers all of that.

OK, lets cover this again. NO SEC EVENT will be held past the MS River. Everything, the SEC football championship, baseball, basketball, softball, whatever will be held in the Southeast. The SEC, the SOUTHEASTERN conference. You are in the conference but not in the southeast. Get used to it. They aren't going to have the SEC baseball tourney in a 50K seat stadium anywhere. The demand isn't there. When SEC baseball stadiums start seating 50K then they will talk.

Fans would be spread out over 40,300 seats and it has artificial turf. Not ideal IMHO.

WE have already had an SEC Tournament west of the River, in St Louis.

SEC Baseball TY should rotate to Memphis and Texas as well as Hoover and maybe Nashville.

So this is an overreaction to some bad weather in Hoover..which while not fun..won’t really make that much of a difference. How many regionals and super regionals are played indoors? Even though im an LSU fan living in Arlington Tx at the moment..I don’t think it should be moved permanently to Texas because they have a roof.

I fully support this idea. Not biased at all...

Every take this week has been an overreaction. Hoover, while underwhelming, isn’t the issue. The Met isn’t the issue and the weather isn’t the issue. Could all of it be better? Absolutely. But from a competitive standpoint, none of it matters.

The conference’s lack of any kind of organized, reasonable contingency plan or communication is the issue.

I’d like to think they’ve privately planned for everything, but I doubt it. I’m guessing they think can get all the games finished, but if not, they’ll just blow everyone’s pitching staff the week before regionals by playing days of double headers.
