yeah if he's talking about an entire program it's definitely not UGA, but with football there's a good argument

Most underachieving sports program in the SEC is definitely not UGA. Definitely the most underachieving basketball team in the last 6-8 years. And the most underachieving football team in the last 4. But not overall sports program.

I think Arkansas might be a close second. Afterall , they celebrate having the finest facilities in the world and have nothing to show for it outside of track.

we've won a NC in basketball and been to Atlanta 3 times since the expansion in Football...We've had decent success in Baseball and Hockey as well

I think it's probably better to do it by decade.

80's - Florida
90's - LSU
00's - Georgia

Before that, I'm not sure.

Well said, in fact if you're talking about RIGHT NOW I don't think there is any argument, it would be us.

But you're just talking about football it seems, not "sports program". For as mediocre as we were in football the whole decade of the 90s, our other sports teams were pretty good.

Considering they are talking about Sports Programs, and UF has the most SEC titles of any school, I can't agree we are the most underachieving.

And like others have stated, Florida was one of the smallest states in the South until Air Conditioning came around around the 1950's. If you look at Florida's records since 1950 you definitely wouldn't say they have underachieved.

when talking about sports programs id think it should be sports that actually matter such as football, mens basketball, baseball, softball and track.

As a guy who grew up a Tennessee fan, believe it or not, I would have to say the most underachieving football program, given its resources, in the 2000's has been UT.

Recently? Ole Miss. I mean really recent, though.

Every damned year, it's "OLE MISS IS GOING TO DESTROY ANYTHING THAT GETS WITHIN 9 FEET OF THEM", then they take a big ol' deuce on the field and everyone feels like an arse for believing the hype.

how is it ole miss? they dont really under achieve they aren't one of the haves of the sec.

imo the teams like ole miss, miss state, uk and vandy cant really under achieve

teams like alabama,LSU,auburn, uga, tenn,fl are most likely to be considered under achievers at any given time bc they have all the resources to be better than the rest of the conf.

arky and usc are kinda middle ground teams imo they have to be the worst in the sec to under achieve
