The first time I saw one of these obesity charts, Mississippi was the fattest state. That was about 30 years ago. Sadly, the MS from 1995 would be the least fattest state in 2025.
I am from Denmark. 30 years ago the obesity rate was 1 or 2 percent. That map shows about 15% now, but it was 18.4% in 2021.

Texas has the fattest city in America. Their large cities are all at the top of obesity in large cities as well.
I remember going to the Texas State Fair years ago. I was freaking out because I kept seeing enormous women eating fried butter and pushing 8 year old in strollers.
It was disgusting.
