2013 UGA wasn't overrated and here's why...

1. They played five top 10 teams that year: @Clemson (L), South Carolina (W), LSU (W), Missouri (L), and @Auburn (L) and every one of them went down to the wire.

2. That team suffered an ungodly amount of injuries from the first game on. By the 6th game of the season (Mizzou), Murray was without his top 2 RBs and top 3 WRs - 5 proven players that would've made a difference over the following weeks.

3. I will say that the defense was really bad and was a contributing factor to an 8-5. But I could name about 3 or 4 other teams from Richt in the last 10 years that were more overrated than this one.

2004 Auburn.

I know over 10 years, but this is a good fit for overrated SEC team.

I can see that, we were butt fumble away from competing, the morale for the season was lost that night against TAMU.

You say that in defense of AU 2014 moments after you list as 'most overrated' the Bama team that was one fumble away from stopping AU's national title run.

Interesting.

No, it is a 2017 Georgia troll. They were #1 when Auburn (10-4) beat them by 23.

Ehh... didn't get in top 2 despite dominating every team they faced (except for the defending National Champs) and easily winning the SEC is being over-rated? Interesting.

I mean that team was stacked, #1 in the country, best RBs and OLine in the country. Best Defense in the country until Garcia and Cam happened.

Injuries. Cam is Cam. Not going to take anything away from him. We just didn't show up in Columbia. That SC team was not bad though. They should have finished a lot better themselves.

It's the rant. One must assume that every post is a troll unless proven otherwise.

I would pick between 2008 LSU, 2013 Florida, and 2013 Georgia considering their talent levels.

I mean, just looking at it logically, it has to be 2013 Florida.

Top 10 -> 4-8 is laughably bad.

Doesn’t make them the most overrated. They still finished with ten wins and a top 10 ranking.

2008 AU started out no.11 and went 5-7.
2012 Arkansas started out no.10 and went 4-8.
2015 AU started out no.6 and went 7-6 which was last in the SEC W.
2013 UF started out no.10 and finished 4-8 with a loss to an FCS team in which 2 Florida players were blocking each other.

2008 State team

Coming off 2007 team 8-5 record, Liberty Bowl victory, two straight wins over Bama, optimism was high.

Team promptly lost to La. Tech 22-14 to begin the season. Third game of the season was the 3-2 loss to Auburn when gave up a three run homer in the second inning....oops wrong sport. Later lost to UK 14-13 by missing an XP and a FG, and then capped the season by being mauled by Mississippi in the Egg Bowl 45-0.

Yep that was it. 4-8/2-6 record.

Dude. You had 10 players including your #1 RB and #1 WR arrested. I think you could give them a little break. they might have fulfilled their promise. Maybe not playoffs, but there was a lot going on that kept Florida from having a good year.
