Which schools have the most unemployed fan bases that sit and play on their phones all day.

Nice chart.

It'd be interesting to see this in relation to a state's population, and comparison to other in-state programs.

Texas numbers seem REALLY low when you take into account the overall population of the state, considering Alabama and LSU could combine the populations of their two states and multiply it by 3 and STILL would be behind Texas in total population.

From 2024:

State of Tejas unemployed - 4.1%

State of Alabama unemployed - 2.9%

Texas has lots of college teams that divide up the allegiance of its residents.

Probably in this order:

1) Texas: alums + mega t-shirts
2) Texas A&M: alums + some t-shirts
3) Texas Tech: alums + west Texas folk
4) Baylor: alums + some baptists
5) TCU: alums + more t-shirts than you would think
6) Houston: alums + some locals
7) Texas State: party, party, party
8) UTSA: local folks
9) SMU: Dallas millionaires
10) UNT: more partying

As a South Carolina fan, it immediately strikes me that Southern Cal isn't on the list. Outside of the top 33?!?!?

Does this mean we get to take the title of USC back?

How is FB calculated?? I don't believe that UNC has only 31k fans on Facebook, for example.

And it's definitely not a bunch of nice round numbers while Instagram & X are specific numbers

Contact Deeg Sports and ask them.

I've never had a FaceLickers account and only got Instagram so I could see the content when posted.

More telling is Clemson. Take away those national titles and where would they be? Such a bandwagon team to pull for around these parts now. Never see Clemson car flags once they take even one L though.

Texas has a lot of schools in state to divide fandoms. Seems pretty obvious.

Tejas has a much larger population than a lot of those states.

Why did we ever get the idea that Clemson is SEC worthy? Just because of those Trevor Lawrence championships. I still say Florida State is worthy but never Clemson.

You can tell which programs understand the platforms they need to invest in in order to capture the youth. Instagram is where most programs should be focusing. Not Facebook or X
