Robert Edwards. He was a beast. Blew his knee out playing a football game during the pro bowl weekend on a beach in Hawaii.

That's who SCrooster is talking about. He could hit the edge on a toss sweep like a boss. Smoked Florida in 1997.

I'm gonna have to probably go with Champ Bailey.

It would be hard to pick between Bo Jackson, Hershel Walker and Johnny Manzeil.

Jevon Kearse, Tuscaloosa, 1998.

The end of the John David Phillips experience.

Bo

But one performance that immediately came to mind was when Kevin Faulk was a true freshman and came to Starkville in '95. That sumbitch danced his way to like 200 yards and returned punts like nobody's business.

I may be the only one that answered the question the way that you did. You witnessed their explosive performance and it was he most explosive that you witnessed.

That's the way I read it and thought of faulk. True Freshman, second game, 1st SEC game on the road and he owned that game.

He was on my college team, but I saw David Palmer play against my high school team. He played nearly every position for Parker HS that game.

Without a doubt the most impressive player I ever saw in person was Barry Sanders. His athletic ability is grossly over looked because he "retired in his prime" and never set any records. However, he routinely made cuts/moves you'd only see in video games but against NFL athletes. Not sure there will ever be another RB with his overall blend of dexterity and power.
