I did it before except I calculated their entire salaries while at the school. For example Sumlin did not make 5 mil in his first season.

Lot of people got upset about the numbers but eh whatever

Saban started out at under 4 Mil. Re-calculate based on actual salaries each year. He won his first national championship with an undefeated season in year 3, making $3.9 Million.

You also didn't come remotely close to doing the math right. You used their current salaries and then used win totals spanning back several years, during which time each coach was obviously making a much different salary. Don't think a single "$$ per win" on your list is accurate.

Nothing personal Tailback, but your method is flawed as to salaries. The average salary would be best and what does any of this mean really other than no head coaches salary per win comes cheap. Thank goodness the season is now less than 6 weeks away!

Boy, based on that, Freeze looks way worse than he does.

But not as badly as he will in a few months when he gets hammered by the NCAA.

The problem with these figures is that they weight each win the same while in reality the more wins you get, the more valuable they become. Basically Saban winning his 12th game of the season is more valuable than Gus winning his 8th because of what it means.

But does it include the amounts of money brought in by said coach and football team because of the wins?
