Here found previous post on AU vs Piss in 85:

AU won 41-0, but there is more:

Ole Miss did not get a first down after the second play of the game and was outgained 606-9.

AU ran over 100 plays, Ole Miss less than 30.

AU had 39 first down including an SEC record 29 rushing.

Piss completed 1 pass for 1 total yard.

Auburn's time of possession was 47 minutes, Piss 13 minutes.

Bo had 170 yards rushing. At halftime.

Auburn never punted. The entire game.

Understand what you are saying, but would you count a 28 point win "Most dominant performances over another Power 5 opponent?"

Pat Dye had some great teams. Defensively, they would beat you to death

And that's the most dominant performance South Carolina has been in or you have seen?

Just to get in the thread: Arkansas beat Alabama 42-6 in 1998. Their worst loss since '57

Yeah he did. Inept offensives and he would fire Jack Crowe once a week, but he fielded some nasty, brutal defenses.

Mississippi State Vanderbilt 2014 and Mississippi State Kentucky in 2017 come to mind.

The 2003 team looked just as bad for the last four games

You are correct. It may have been the last 6 games. Jackie announced his retirement the Friday before we played Auburn. Off the top of my head, I think the last 6 went: Auburn-41-6, Kentucky 45-17, Bama 38-0, Tennessee 52-6, Arkansas 59-14, and Ole Miss 31-0. Yeah, that was bad.

Alabama's game vs Michigan State in the Capital One Bowl was pretty bad.

Considering the skill level of the opponent, 21-0 is unlikely to be touched.

That said,
Alabama 59
Vanderbilt 0

Vandy had 78 yards of total offense, 7/22 through the air for 38 yards. Only one play went for double digits.

Alabama could have easily scored more points, only getting 7 points in the 4th, burning over 17 minutes on the last two drives with the last one ending with three mercy knees. Alabama had over 500 yards rushing before taking the three knees to end the game. 677 yards of total offense.

I do know they played OSU and Michigan in back to back weeks that year and lost by a combined score of 136-0

Oh, I'm not. Just flabbergasted. You guys dominated us, no doubt. But people are talking about 77-0 games. And games where opponents got less than 100 yards total offense....and you got a 28 point victory.
Georgia had something like 5 games that matched that last year alone.

Come on. You guys had some great teams right around that time frame. Surely you beat somebody by more than 28 points.

1996 Orange Bowl

Nebraska beat Florida 62-24 after leading 55-10 in the 3rd quarter. Nebraska out rushed Florida 628 to -27 yards. This was a Florida team that dominated the SEC that year. Nebraska had 9 sacks and 4 interceptions.

2013 BCS National Championship game

On their way to a 42-14 romp over Note Dame, Bama led 28-0 at half. Bama. At one point early in the 3rd quarter Alabama had a 374-24 yard advantage over the Irish and their #1 ranked defense.

We were actually winning early in the second quarter. "Nebraska better not fall too far behind."
