1973 Alabama Va Tech
77-6

NCAA record for rushing yards in a game. 4 RB's go over a hundred yards.

quote:

So it came to pass that just more than 57,000 filed into Denny Stadium on Oct. 27, 1973 to behold one of the most dominating wins in Alabama football history. The Crimson Tide won the game 77-6 racking up a staggering 833 yards on offense in the process- an NCAA record at the time (eclipsed on Oct. 21, 1989 with Houston's 1,021 yards versus SMU).

The 63 runs for 748 yards the Crimson Tide tallied against the Hokies that afternoon remains the NCAA record for highest average gain per rush (minimum of 50 rushes). No less than four backs, Corky Tharp, Jimmy Taylor, Wilbur Jackson and Richard Todd broke the 100-yard mark that game (an NCAA record shared with four other teams).

Bama vs Vandy and Ole Miss come to mind last year. But the worst beat down I ever saw was what OU did to Franchione's aTm team. I was glad when he left Bama and felt justified after witnessing how far down he took the Aggies. Never liked his 70's style offense anyway.

LSU over Miami after the 05 season. LSU over Virginia Tech during the 2007 season. Just brutal beat downs of top ten programs. In Miami’s case the beatdown was literal.

2008 Ole Miss-45 Mississippi State-0

The last game of the Croom Era. The sad thing is that Ole Miss could've had 800 yards of offense and scored 80 points. Nutt took the foot off the pedal early. Ole Miss was playing like a Top 10 team at that point, and State had completely quit on Croom. As fans we talk about team's quitting all the time. That is the first and only State team I ever saw quit. They were o-lay blocking on O, and o-lay tackling on D. One of our WR's, I think it was Brandon McRae, compound fractured his leg. I'm surprised we didn't have more injuries. That game as embarrassing as it was did get Croom fired.

The 2011 Capital One Bowl
Alabama 49- Michigan State 7

It was brutal. Michigan state had 2 or 3 QBs get hurt and they were just pummeled. I actually started to feel bad

Because I think it's funny that a 28 point win is their most dominant win ever over a P5 team? Gtfoh with that.

Recent history would be last year.

Ole miss and Vandy
We literally could have scored a hundred on both.

That Oklahoma beatdown of A&M was brutal. I still don't get that one.

You'd probably have to list the Fiesta Bowl Nebraska over florida. To get beat THAT bad in the national title game. Damn.

Auburn over Kansas State in 88. I believe AU had about 400 yards of offense in the first Half.

I dont really want to have to find my old post on it, but worst SEC beat down ever as previously discussed was AU over Ole Miss in 1985.

Yeah...the cfp was the shutout but msu was in it for a half. The Capone bowl was a total beatdown.

I believe there was a stretch where Rutgers had a deficit of 200+ points in losses to MICH, MSU, PSU, and OSU

since you clearly suffer from bad short term memory and research capabilities: in 1915, Mississippi State defeats Ole Miss 65–0

The 2003 team looked just as bad for the last four games. Combined final scores of 180-27, including a 38-0 loss at home to an Alabama team with a losing record.
