5. Florida 41 Ohio State 14
34-14 at half. Ohio State had 84 yards of offense. Heisman trophy winner had 6 total yards of offense. Utter destruction.

4. Alabama 42 Notre Dame 14
28-0 at half. Bama had 260 rushing and 260 passing. Notre Dame was uncompetitive from the opening snap and looked like they had no business being on the same field.

3. Alabama 52 Ohio State 24
610 yards of offense and the game was over mid way through the 3rd.

2. USC 55 Oklahoma 19
2nd largest point difference. 2nd largest half time deficit (38-10). Total arse whooping.

1. Georgia 65 TCU 7
Largest half time deficit (38-7). Largest ever point differential. 590 yards to 180. Biggest beat down possibly in any championship game in any sport.

Thoughts? Opinions?

Those are pretty serious beat downs.

There was a game where one team had 92 yards of total offense, had 5 first downs the entire game, and only crossed the 50 yard line once.

I can’t remember which one that was.

I did want to include this but LSU defense at least made it a game. It was a 2 score game almost the entire 4th quarter.

I’ve never seen a more inept offensive performance

The largest point differential in the entire history of the bowl system.

And it was done in the National Championship game, after a playoff.

I think we have a winner.

It was still a 2 score game the majority of the 4th quarter. I’d put it at #6

But that’s what me and Tuscaloosa are saying. Whether up 3-0 or the final score of 21-0, there was never any doubt they’d actually score.

92 fricking yards of offense in a national title game. The Tide sent LSU back to 1890 that night. There was no doubt. Most complete defensive skull fricking the world has ever seen on national television. The second they finally crossed the 50 the first time by a couple yards in the 4th, Bama caused a fumble.

Even TCU scored

And had more than 92 yards of offense... And crossed the 50 and lived to tell about it.

I still wouldn’t say it was more dominating than the 5 I listed. It was a 9 point game at half. It was a 2 score game almost the entirety of the 4th quarter.

The question isn’t whether it was dominating, it’s if it’s more than the 5 I listed. The 5 I listed had larger point differentials and all the games were over by early in the 3rd quarter.

Ohio St only had 82 yards against Florida. They had that Ginn return to open the game and didn't really do much of anything the rest of the night.

My team has a few true asskickings on your list but what Georgia did to TCU was the Georgia Tech v. Cumberland of championship games.

Only because TCU had no business being in that game. Not a big win for Georgia as much as it was a frick up by the playoff committee.

My favorite troll ever was Bama basketball giving LSU a standing O the first time they crossed mid court after 1/9/12.
