Where's Pig Prather? He should be adored for his Wonderlic score alone. Prather is essentially the Nick Brassell of Oktibbeha County.

DCraig was one helluva warrior on the field. Too bad we didnt win the SECCG in 97. he was a machine in that game.

Pig accomplished a lot more on the field than Brassell ever did though.

True, but could he troll like Brassell can is the real question.

Archie. I love Eli and all but Archie is one of the most laid back and nicest guys you'll ever meet. I was with my grandad in Oxford a few years ago and we saw him sitting on the bench outside of Ajax. My grandfather didn't know hardly anything about sports and didn't really have a favorite team but he did remember hearing about Archie Manning back in the 70's. When I told him who it was, I took him and introduced him and Archie sat and talked to him for damn near 20 minutes. Not about football or sports, just about life.

Alabama,
To me, Derrick Thomas is the obvious choice, at least needs to be on any list of candidates.

I was in graduate school at Ole Miss and Chancellor Khayat was the same way. I admire him not only for his love for the school, but the way he respects and values people.

Coach Shug Jordan for Auburn.
I would think Coach Bryant would be the overwhelming pick for Alabama.
EDIT: This from an old guy's opinion.

These are my favorites, not necessarily who I think are fanbase favorites:
Alabama Offense: Joe Namath, John Hannah, Julio Jones, (the consummate team player) Defense: Cornelius Bennett, Courtney Upshaw, Rolando McClain (so wish he could've kept it together in the NFL)
Honorable mention: Javier Arenas for his pure love of the game and leadership. Tyrone Prothro
UGA: Herschel Walker and Aaron Murray Both of these guys played with so much heart.
LSU: Loved watching Ed Reid. For comedic value: the whole Honeybadger Experience
Ole Miss: Archie Manning
Vols: Peyton
AU: Sir Charles is my favorite Auburn Man
Wonder why Cam isn't showing up too often??
Arkansas: Tyler Wilson. I loved his toughness during some really hard times for the Razorbacks.
Gators: Steve Spurrier, Tebow, but only when he lost to Bama.
South Carolina: Marcus Lattimore and Connor Shaw, but I did love the Garcia/Spurrier years.
Mississippi State: Jonathan Banks

Herschel is the obvious choice for UGA, but I would consider the following as good runners-up: Lindsay Scott, Hines Ward, and DJ Shockley. Possibly David Greene and David Pollack.

For Florida, it's Spurrier, Wuerffel and Tebow.
The order depends on your age.

Makes sense...while I would've thought it was Tebow, a friend (a UF fan) told me a year or so back that Wuerffel was probably more beloved than any other football alum...

Going basketball, gotta give Sidney Moncreif some love too.
But overall I'd have to say Burlsworth.

For me personally:
1. Rodney Thomas
2. Dat Nguyen
3. Johnny Manziel (he did the most for our program in recent memory though)
