Yes I'm sure all of Los Angeles was glued to the TV for the UCLA softball championship series. The city was enthralled.
You serious?

InsecureU is absolutely hellbent on propping up women's softball
I wonder why

Because it’s clearly more popular and has a higher demand than college baseball. The numbers don’t lie.
LSU wouldn’t know about watching a World Series game in baseball or softball over the last month.

Both numbers are pretty crappy
Can we stop calling these major sports?

You're all overlooking the real reason more people watched the WCWS than the CWS.

I don't know why other women's sports haven't followed the softball model and made major changes to their sport from their male counterparts to make their sport more watchable. From the size of the ball to the dimensions of the field to the way pitchers deliver the ball, softball is a completely different sport from baseball. It doesn't feel like an inferior, watered-down version of the sport like other women sports does.

No, it clearly isn't. You just want it to be because its one of the only 2 sports your school is good at.

It has already been explained to you why they're misleading.
If you're still confused, just repeat the phrase "Its fricking women's softball" in your head until the light bulb goes off.

Now you're just venting
Go watch some football highlights on youtube and call it a day. I know Jan-Sept is a difficult time for InsecureU, but we're almost there. You can get through this, I believe in you.

Why’d you use Tunity for the CWS and Nielsen for WCWS?
Here are the Nielsen numbers:

Edit: I see your thread title has changed since this thread was originally started and is now extremely misleading and WRONG. You’re using two totally different sources and comparing them to one another.

I have to admit I was surprised. I know it wasn’t a great game but they couldn’t even top 1.5 million
You really had no idea what you were quoting huh? Just scrolling through Twitter and copying-and-pasting.

Easy explanation.
Only 1800 Michigan fans of baseball...they were all there in omaha.
Only 1900 vandy fans...all but one was in omaha.
No one left to watch on TV

That explanation being, OP is absolutely wrong and had no idea what he was quoting in his follow-up “gotcha” bump to this thread.
Game 3 of the CWS had better viewership than a Sunday Night Baseball broadcast of Yankees-Red Sox this year.

Not higher than game two of the WCWS.
But at you comparing college baseball’s decisive championship game to a regular season baseball game.

Lol. Wut?
Game 1 of the CWS had better viewership than Game 2 of the WCWS.
Game 3 of the CWS is the most watched baseball/softball game this year, thus far.
Game 1 of CWS Championship Series viewership: 1.88m
Game 2 of WCWS Championship Series viewership: 1.80m
1.88m > 1.80m
Regardless of semantics, your thread title update is absolutely wrong.

No SEC school in the WCWS final series, probably affected viewership
