Just being honest. I agree, would be stunned if we got Venebales, but , hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained,
Realistically, what about Graham, Gratham, Chizik, Leavitt or Shoop? Who’s the guy at UTSA?

Ok I was prob a bit harsh the imperialism map is just something that whoever did this season in football and it got updated every week. It worked something like if one team played another the winner got the land where the other team (loser) was located and say the winner of the first game lost their next game, that winner would get all the the loser had won to that point. It worked something like that anyway- I think it was some nerd thing that evolved maybe. Ha.

And I think we’ve all finally gotten to the point where we realize what hog basketball is- used to be fab, not so anymore, hopefully we’ll be good this season (so far pretty good with a little exception) and build from that.

Dabo would drag his balls through glass to coach at alabama.

I used to think so, but I don't see him leaving Clemson. I hate to say it, but he's going to win another national championship in the next few years, maybe this year. He is Clemson's Bear Bryant. In fact, their reverence for Dabo is greater imo. So much so, their fans have taken on his personality. He can walk away in 10 or 15 years or so from coaching with multiple championships and live rather quietly in the South Carolina countryside as a multi-millionaire.

He is a phenomenal coach.

Should be the Broyles winner or runner-up every year.

There are a lot of good D Coords, but few, if any, that can produce regular top 5 Ds at multiple championship level universities in systems that run HUNH and general uptempo offenses regularly.

The two counteract when the O isn't clicking and/or scores too quickly, too often. It keeps the D out there too long.

I can't believe Jeremy Pruitt is a Big 6 SEC Coach and Venables hasn't had enough money thrown at him to make him pull the trigger.

At this rate it will take Dabo to Bama after Saban to finally have him stay and bump up at Clemson

Hey, love to get others opinions. If you’re Morris and Arkansas, who would you throw $1.5-2mm at as a legitimate DC? Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing he's waiting for Bill Snyder to die.

Man, I’m an Arkansas alum, and I have to be honest here;

Sure you are.

no one cares about our basketball program.

Yet, when I post the arkansas gamethread for that day, it is the most replied topic.

It was cool when I was on the Hill in 89-91 and all,

AARP is soon

but we haven’t really been anything to talk about in 20 years.

ehh..

Here’s the sad part, our conference is extremely “low hanging fruit” in the basketball department, outside of Kentucky, and we can’t even capitalize on that.

You can go back to woopig

We’re in a football driven conference, in case you didn’t get the memo.

No, I haven't checked my email. My parents wanted to use the phone line so, I'll connect on dial up later.

It’s the alpha and the omega. There’s football season, football recruiting season, Spring football, baseball, and then maybe basketball.

Wrong.

Yeah, we’ll probably get in the tourney this year, and maybe play a couple of games, but nobody notices that.

I absolutely would if the money was there.

It is an investment.

But, he is 2nd highest paid coordinator in CFB at 1.7, so I think it would take north of 2 million for him to consider it. He is on the cusp of securing a top job. And, well positioned at Clemson to keep churning out great years until the right job opens.

I don't think he wants a head coaching job. If he does, then he'll leave Clemson soon, because he mentioned only coaching about 10 more years recently.

i heard there was "something" keeping him from being a HC. something in his past. Just sayin. I say throw 2.5M at him and get him back close to home with his good friend the Chadillac.
