Venables isn't leaving Clemson unless it is for a head coaching job that he wants. He get's paid 1.7 Million to coach one side of the ball and will probably get a raise to stay.
He also has his son getting ready to play next year and has a pretty good deal.

Gamecock fans say otherwise.

That's what I would say if I was leaving for Arkansas, too...

Everyone knew he was staying. He's waiting for clemson or KSU to open.

I agree. I am guessing that he has been told the Clemson job is his whenever Dabo decides to move on. Hell, he makes more money as a coordinator than most mid-major head coaches.

If they win it all again this year, would Dabo even move on? I'm not so sure
Even if it's Bama. KSU is a real possibility though.

Dabo would drag his balls through glass to coach at alabama. He's not shy about telling you either.

He's worshipped at clemson though

Venables isn't going anywhere, like I've said every single year when his name comes up.

You know what else is worshiped at Clemson? Meth.

He probably isn't... but making a run at him shows that Chad Morris is serious. I say swing for the fences.

Clemson will beat Bama in the CFP.. Saban will retire, Dabo goes to Bama, Venables becomes HC at Clemson?

Man, I’m an Arkansas alum, and I have to be honest here; no one cares about our basketball program.
It was cool when I was on the Hill in 89-91 and all, but we haven’t really been anything to talk about in 20 years.
Here’s the sad part, our conference is extremely “low hanging fruit” in the basketball department, outside of Kentucky, and we can’t even capitalize on that.
Nobody outside of them really knows basketball exists, or even cares, Seriously.
We’re in a football driven conference, in case you didn’t get the memo. It’s the alpha and the omega. There’s football season, football recruiting season, Spring football, baseball, and then maybe basketball.
The sooner you come to grips with, and embrace this, the better off you’ll be. The SEC will NEVER give two shits about the roundball bro.
Lastly, I never have anyone ask me about razorback basketball EVER. Yes, we had a few high points with Sutton and Richardson, but , no one, including myself, could name who the coach was before Sutton or after Richardson. The only reason I know the current coach is because he was Richardson’s protege.
Yeah, we’ll probably get in the tourney this year, and maybe play a couple of games, but nobody notices that.
