They’ve hung with Texas (through 3 quarters) and Georgia without getting embarrassed.

So where are all the apologies for the chorus of "OMGZ Texbutt is so bad they can't even blow out the worst team in the SEC and only won by 3 TD's harharhar, Big 12!"?

I see most other fanbases have forgotten the 2014 A&M team debacle where we were #4 in the very first CFP rankings, and promptly went into Starkville and lost to Miss st. Followed by losses to Ole Miss and Bama. Good, we have almost forgotten about it too.
The “Sumlin special” was starting almost every year 6-0 or 5-1, and then losing a bunch in the back half of the season.
This is the very definition of a trap game. Just beat a ranked opponent, have another ranked opponent the week after this one, and a floundering team with a bad record in between. All the ingredients for our team to overlook them, but I think Elko will have the focused and not under estimating MSU.
