Since he was behind Mond on the passing list, he has someone now to aspire to be.

Not sure where you go this, so....how did they do in yards? Were they at the bottom in rushing yards, too?

What?4 outta our 5 starting OL all have started games.
Jones would be the only freshman that would possibly start on the OL

Where the Hell do you guys come up with this garbage?

I know they're not Freshman but I am curious: What is Georgia's 2-deep for 2020?

I misspoke then dick. Transfer QB from Wake Forest is the model for championships. Just think if you could have kept Fields. Besides the kid who had that emergency surgery (will he play again?) Its almost like kirby ignored the QB position while Fromm was there

I'm not reading this whole thread but straws main point seems to be "ugas offense won't be as good as 2019 lsu". Is that it?

I think is might be "UGAs Offense may not be as good as 2019 UGA".

Changing your QB, scheme, offensive line, OC in one off-season and having the offense firing on all cylinders is Herculean.

I agree. There are a ton of moving parts, and it is going to take time to get everyone on the same page and rowing in the same direction.

On a similar but opposite note, the defense comes back largely intact. Losing maybe 4 or 5 total from the two deep. Also, no turnover on the defensive coaching staff. They should be even better than the '19 version. That will help take some of the pressure off from the offense and give them a little more room to develop.

One thing you can't argue with is how Kirby has responded to give the offense the best chance to be successful:

Lose Pittman --> Two days later bring in Matt Luke
Lose Fromm --> Two days later bring in the best available grad transfer QB
Realize Coley was a mistake after just one year --> Bring in a highly respected OC from the NFL w/ a ton of college experience

Top 10 opponent.

It was worthless to the 17 guys who didn’t play in it.

Burrow is still a game changing QB, again, one of the most prolific passers if not the most prolific passer in College Football.

He improved a lot after a few months in town. Imagine that.

Compared to 2019 Fromm, who was known to miss open tds.

Do you really expect our OL to stink?

What is Georgia's 2-deep for 2020?
Perspective depth chart for the OL

quote:

LT: Truss(4*) | Condon(3*) | Jones(5*)

LG: Shaffer(4*) | (4*) | Ratledge(4*) | Willock(3*) - note that Shaffer could be delayed by neck injury

C: Hill(5*) Webb 5*| Van Pran(4*) | Ericson(4*)

RG: Cleveland(4*) | Ericson(4*) | Lindberg(4*) | Blaske(3*) - note that Cl

RT: Salyer(5*) | McClendon(4*) | Ratledge(4*)

Salter,Shaffer,Hill, Cleveland and Erickson have all started games.

And as much as I hate to say it,I kinda agree with the offense starting out slow and putting all the pieces together. The talent is there though

RB does concern me.While Zeus is talented he still hasn't shown me the game breaking
ability of a Swift,Chubb or Sony. He's gotta step up along with Cook

The Big XII isn't exactly something to thump your chest about. Similarly, Baylor isn't exactly that talented.

Lol.

Florida hung on to beat a four loss ACC team in the Orange. Don’t be pointing a finger at Georgia dominating an eleven win Baylor team when your offensive line and secondary looked like shite in your bowl game. Trask, despite 300 yards — and who didn’t get that vs Virginia? — wasn’t good. So many of his passes were batted around by Virginia’s depleted defense (missing six starters) that any competent defense would have picked him at least three times.

And now Perine & various wideouts are gone. Florida has much more to worry about than Georgia. And with Third and Grantham, Gators will never win the SEC let alone go to a playoff game.

But keeping talking about Georgia like you know something.

My best guess right now, but could change, of course:

LT - RsFR Truss (0.9158 4 Star)
LG - SR Shaffer (0.8828 3 Star)
C - JR Hill (0.9692 4 Star)
RG - RsSR Cleveland (0.9565 4 Star)
RT - JR Salyer (0.9956 5 Star)

The second team will feature battles between a bunch of RsFR and true FR that are all 5 and 4 star guys.

I think salyer takes LT, and the numerous freshman battle for the RT spot.

Certainly possible. What I'd really like to happen is Truss and one of the FR tackles work out allowing Salyer to slide back to one of the guard spots. That would be huge.

I doubt we want 2 starting freshmen OT’s.

Could also have 5 star clay Webb make a move at center and move hill to OG
