And they just got a well-regarded transfer QB?

This sounds eerily familiar

Yes, if not for uga smashing auburn for the seccg, Kirby wouldn’t have won a playoff game.

I guess that Playoff win will take him to the 40 year mark. After that mark is met, I can’t see him surviving based on some of the feelings we read from their fans. I guess that is why he felt a need to fire his OC, but will that be enough? Can you image if another neighbor school wins another NC? How many miles is it from Athens to Clemson. As I bet Kirby was rooting hard for LSU.

He got a new oc because owning tech, vols, auburn and Florida doesn’t satisfy him.

Very psyched about what this means about our Head Coach.

He never stops working. He has a plan. He isn't standing still with his fingers crossed hoping good things happen without making changes.

And I love how the team played for him in the Sugar Bowl. I honestly don't think any team in memory had to play such a high profile game lacking the amount of starters/playmakers we were missing. And they flat out kicked @ss. It wasn't close.

The fact that CKS has built that kind of depth, and had them ready to play like that, is unprecedented for the Georgia football program, and maybe any program.

What does he own in the West? Good thing he plays in the East.

Of all the people to ask this question, it had to be an auburn fan.

But he can’t move into the rest of the neighborhood. UGA lives in the neighborhood of the South. They have a 38 year old home that is showing its age. All the neighbors that live around them have remodeled homes (UT, GT, AU, UA, Clemson, FSU, UF, LSU). Thank goodness for USCe or we might have an arsonist in the neighborhood .

Read the whole thread... barn is scared... straws knows if they don’t beat UGA this next year they won’t be beating UGA for the next three either , sees its now or basically never and this hire mixes it up where UF is unsure if it has what it takes.

Holy shite you’re really really freaking out about this hire.

You probably thought maybe, just maybe this year will be different. It won’t.

Auburn is 3-12 over your last 15 attempts. You’re going to be humiliated on the road but in October this time. It’ll be fun to end your season earlier in the year.

Edit: had to clean up a tense shift

No it is just fun watch UGA fans act like every other fanbase in the conference. Where then next transfer QB or the next OC is going to finally get the team over the hump. For years they have looked down their noses at other fans for saying the same thing.

Losing your two best receivers isn't an excuse to throw for less than 50% on average and not even be able to average 200 yards passing.

Fromm lost his best receiver in Cager and went from 65% or so to 50% down the stretch. Yes, receivers matter a lot... particularly at a place like Wake where the second string might not start at some G5 schools.

It's not 100% of the reason, but factoring in that Newman himself was also injured in that Syracuse game, it certainly is a significant contributor.

Auburn was closer to making the playoff with Stidham then UGA will be with the middle of the road ACC reject. Hell, Stidham beat two #1 teams in a three week period.

And yet you still lost 4 games that year. Soooooo close.

You mean like LSU, or Auburn? I mean Burrow did pretty good.

Stidham, not so much. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Do tell?

Do I think we win a NC with Newman? No. I doubt any of our fans do. but we will come closer than we would have without him next year.

What’s actually funny is watching UGA’s rivals laugh and laugh leading up to the sugar bowl about how UGA is done and Kirby is done.

Instead uga beats a top 10 Baylor with literally 18 players out, brings in another top 3 recruiting class loaded with talent, returns almost every player on the best defense in the country, gets the top QB transfer on the market and gets a smash hire to replace the OL and OC.

No wonder there’s panic.

You were hoping uga didn’t get a transfer to keep auburn from getting over the hump. Now you are even less optimistic with the new OC.

His resume shows he doesn’t stay anywhere much longer than a couple years. If he is so good why is he job hopping so much.
