Neutral site kickoffs are for pussies. Home and homes are far superior as the atmosphere is part of what makes CFB great. I like scheduling old Big 8 teams as well, but I could do without playing Illinois. That’s a basketball rivalry

I think the games with Kansas and Illinois are good for regional reasons. Columbia Missouri isn't Kansas City or Saint Louis and playing those regional opponents probably elevates their recruiting from Kansas City to Chicago

The upper Midwest games are just more limited than the Southeast. You have Iowa, Wisconsin and a bunch of very average options. I don't know how valuable (or possible);it would be to schedule Oregon, Southern California, Ohio State, Michigan, etc

Oh do you have at Ohio State, at Southern Cal, at Miami on the OOC schedule? No, just at UMass, at Florida Atlantic, at San Diego State?

They won’t play us. They are scared. Just look at what happened the last time Ohio State and Mizzou played. Or the last time Mizzou went to LA and beat the shite out of USC costing them a national championship as their only loss.

We had a pretty incompetent AD in Sterk that wasn't really trying to build the football program. He "resigned" after firing Odom and tried to hire Blake Anderson. BOC stepped in and took over until DRF.

The Mizzou vs ku and illini series make sense for Mizzou. Not sure why that schedule is such a big deal to other SEC fanbases.

It also takes 2 to tango. Other schools didn't want to schedule Mizzou. Not sure why that is the case, but historically Mizzou has scheduled decent to good noncon P5 at least 1 per year.

Just since joining the SEC Mizzou has played Arizona St, Syracuse, UCF, kSU, BC, West Virginia, Purdue, BYU, Indiana. Mizzou had a series with Illini but they backed out after losing to Mizzou all the time.

Mizzou won't do a neutral site kick off game, unless its at Arrowhead, and no other program will do that outside of the G5. Mizzou and ku would have been a maybe but that fanbase doesn't show up to games. Last neutral site Mizzou did was vs BYU at Arrowhead during the whole strike debacle and I doubt they will ever do it again to be honest.

Then Sterk made the massive mistake and zero foresight in scheduling 2-1 with G5 schools, and did it about every fill in game. Mizzou as already bought out a few and switched up the schedules. But he did his other AD friends favors with scheduling UMass and his former school San Diego St. No idea why this one was ever approved. Mizzou fans will try to defend this one, but it can't be.

Iowa refuses to play Mizzou noncon. They have the Iowa St game and haven't played another p5 school noncon since 2015. I know that series was supposed to played when Pinkel took over, but for some reason got voided.

No, you've just historically sucked.

It's normal for historically sucky teams to visit superior programs. This little flash in the pan will soon be over and you'll be back to sucking.

should we look at SEC East titles?

Funny then you must have something big like at Michigan or at Notre Dame, right?

Jim Sterk. That's why. The worst AD ever.

On the other hand, it's pretty cool to visit New England at this time of the year.

Missouri always plays more scrub teams than any team in the country . It’s been their mo for decades .

Someone's pressed that they no longer have the kansas teams and Iowa State to kick around anymore. Had to work hard for that first SEC win, amirite ?

Honestly the UMass stadium looks more impressive than Mizzou’s.

We all understand how Faurot looks like a House of Horrors to Hog fans.

Notre Dame doesn’t want us back in South Bend either. Last two times we went there we beat their asses.

Michigan won’t do a home and home with us either since two of the last three times in Ann Arbor we skullfricked them.

That is who they identify with. But Illinois’ conference won’t let them in.

You lost 16-14 the last time you played in South Bend in 1985.

You're 2-2 against Michigan and lost 31-7 the last time you played them, in 1975. Your wins were by 23 and 5. Michigan's other win was by 35.

You've been here long enough to know that behavior is beneath us. You're taking a top 10 team to a high school stadium 1,200 miles away.
