I’ll give Mizzou credit that they took that bowl game seriously. Ohio State showed how spoiled they were by playing third stringers.

So I guess you are saying that Ohio State "didn't wanna be there?"

I hate this excuse. They played more starters than Mizzou did. But it’s a bullshite excuse regardless.

Just schedule them, or at least try to. We would all love to see it happen. Well, except your coach and administrators who would be petrified at the prospect of it happening.

It’s ok. missouri only had the really important skill players and QB starting.

yah we had more starters out for that game than osu. more drafted players out too. ohio state could not block us all game, their starting qb got knocked out in the second quarter because they literally couldn't block our defense for two seconds to get a pass off, went 2-13 on third down, their longest drive was 37 yards, and they scored three points

Backfire post. You thought you could make buddies by trashing Texas.

But you went too far. Mizzou vs Ohio state?

Nobody’s having it.

I recall Jack Sawyer, for one, playing in that game, and getting his arse blocked while Mizzou ran the ball down tOSU's throat to win it.

You might remember him from last years NC game and I believe he's in the NFL now.

Ohio State is too busy scheduling Alabama and Georgia for out of conference games to worry about a 3rd rate D tier football program. Ohio State has played Mizzou 13 times and only 2 wins for Mizzou.

I guess my point is that they won’t schedule any name team, unless like you say, no name team deems them worthy of the opportunity.

Their big name game this year is Kansas, that’s right, Kansas and they wouldn’t even play them in a bowl game when it was there for the taking because Kansas was good that year and would have cranked them.

And the last win was a bowl game, Missouri running the football down the throat of Ohio State.

And that's the biggest win the history of Mizzou football. If Ohio State would have won that Cotton Bowl it wouldn't have cracked any Ohio State fans top 100 wins. So enjoy that Cotton Bowl while I bask in the 3rd national title won by Ohio State in my lifetime.

You keep shifting goalposts.

No one is claiming Mizzou is an elite program such as tOSU.

But in the last game we kicked your arse. Those two things can both be true.

What's interesting to me as tOSU fans are both so arrogant (and they have an elite program) but also so lacking in self confidence that they can't acknowlege when they get their arse beat by a team like Mizzou in a bowl game.

If they didn't want to play lesser bowl games (for them) they could have declined the invitation, but they showed up, lined up, and lost.

It's not that big of a deal. A lot of players that played in that game won the NC the next year, including Jack Sawyer - great ball player among many on that team.

It's not the biggest win by a stretch.
