Hopefully this provides some closure for his loved ones. We can all take solace in the fact that, no matter what happened, at least he wasn’t buttchugging.

There is absolutely no evidence that he wasn’t buttchugging. On a serious note, I will be curious what the toxicology report comes back with regarding other substances. I’m assuming that can still be done after two weeks in a river.

With the fraternity brothers lawyering up, I think more is going to come from this.

Condolences to the family. Has to be the hardest thing ever to bury your child.

A better guess imo would be that perhaps one and/or a group of his “friends” thought it’d be a funny prank to to slip him something when he wasn’t looking not fully understanding the horrific ramifications it could have led to ultimately. And now they are rightfully scared shitless of what the ramifications could be long term.

But even that theory to me sounds pretty wild. I just say that because I never was exposed to or heard of anyone actually roofying someone. Like I assumed that it went on occasionally I guess, but it got to the point where myself and my friends and I concluded that the “roofying” college culture must be more of a modern Internet urban legend. Nevermind how the concept of guys “roofying” guys just for shits and giggles was totally nonexistent. But I guess I was wrong perhaps knowing more about the accounts that has been coming out of downtown Nashville recently

When I lived in the Buckhead area during grad school 10+ years ago, there were people roofying drinks at bars and then robbing those people later. Made the victims easier to control. This affected both girls and guys.

People actually thought the 6 foot 5 guy was kidnapped by hobos.

Captdolton wrong yet again. I’ve never seen anyone swing and miss more than him.

Please, by all means explain how I was wrong.

No one is saying people can’t drown. No one is saying people don’t drown. People aren’t saying this guy didn’t drown. They are saying statistically it is a lot more likely he was murdered than he fell in the river accidentally and drowned.

Pending the autopsy, it does look like he fell in the river and drowned.

But please, dig through all my posts to find where I said he didn’t.

If people falling in rivers and drowning in Nashville were common, this thread wouldn’t be headed towards 20 pages.

It’s probably way more common than what’s reported.

Tragic ending! My condolences to the family, friends, Mizzou, and loved ones.

My fraternity brothers would never let one of us wonder alone when stone drunk same as for letting us get behind the wheels after a night of drinking.

But roofying dudes randomly? Man, that was just not a concept anyone even thought about. And like I said earlier, I’m less than a decade removed from that chapter of life where I routinely boozed socially
it’s actually way more common than you think. Yeah it used to be thought of as girls getting roofied so some dude could bring her home but thats not even the case anymore. I know of several dudes who have had something out in their drink for what seems like no reason other than just for fun

I said from the beginning when I saw the first videos that he was roofied and am starting to think he was targeted for whatever reason. Probably stood out because he was so tall

We have found his debit card, so "the only evidence we have so for at all, an anecdotal, is scorched on here..." is wholly inaccurate you simpleton. The woman purportedly seeing a man wearing a shirt isn’t anything to note at this moment. It’s unproven and pure speculation. Was it precisely the exact same shirt? Same brand? Color? Size? Why wasn’t anything else said? Where’s footage of it?

Do you realize how likely it is for one to mistake that?

Strain still had on the same shirt and watch he was wearing when he went missing, Drake said, which helped authorities identify him.

So terribly sad. Prayers for him and his family. I'll be interested to see results of any autopsy and toxicology testing, as well as what comes from his lawyered up fraternity brothers.

I'm not. There were a bunch of mentally ill psychopaths' and TikTokers baselessly accusing everyone involved of drugging him or bearing some culpability here.

No fricking shite they lawyered up.

Yeah people acting like it’s all his friends fault must not remember what it was like drinking in college when everyone in the group was hammered. People would just wander off on their own like it was nothing and we would think nothing of it

I'm not saying I think they were at fault or anything, just that I don't think the story is fully concluded until that all plays out.
