Some other parings would have seen Mississippi to Omaha.

Great season Reb - you guys gave as good as you got. Many other seedings would have seen you in Omaha.
You down with Opitz, C?

Yeah you know me.
Yup. Tomato gravy is the more quintessential biscuit sauce.

... for Nebraska, his alma mater.

Nebraska baseball players spent much of Monday on a luxury bus pointed toward Lincoln. Most sat quiet and reflective less than a day removed from the end of their season.

When they arrived back at Haymarket Park, they learned firsthand of the news that was about to shock Nebraska and baseball throughout the college and professional ranks.

Darin Erstad is resigning as coach of the Huskers.

It refers to a sock puppet - where one assumes a separate identity to guide a conversation or provoke debate.

Good form - taking pops to the ballpark is worthy of overlooking semantics.
I was thinking more in terms of shirts v skins, but OK I guess

Isn't there a run rule at SEC tourney? 7 after 7? Or 10?

For those interested, SEC Bylaw 17.30 adopts NCAA rules:

quote:

In the sports for which the NCAA develops playing rules, member institutions shall conduct all their intercollegiate contests under the official playing rules specified by the NCAA...

NCAA Rule 5-8-b-4

quote:

By conference rule, or mutual consent of both coaches before the beginning of the contest, a game may be stopped after seven innings if one team is ahead by at least 10 runs.

During regular season conference games, the mercy rule can be implemented by mutual consent but is not dictated by the SEC. In SEC tournament play, the rule is dictated the conference.

NCAA tournament games do not allow optional rules such as 5-8-b-4 by virtue of 5-8-f.

Joe Paterno's legacy will always be knowingly allowing children to be sodomized in his football facilities for whatever twisted logic that escapes comprehension. Not to be Debbie Downer here but thems the facts.

Of course, I am in no way pointing finger toward the OP here.

Ray Wise is a fairly prolific character actor really since the 80s - Mad Men,24, Reaper, Twin Peaks, etc...

Kind of like a non-Italian Frank Vincent.

See, that's the problem.

In theory, I have no issue with other conference fans hanging here helping to spread the hate.

In practice, we end up with utterly thin sauce like Vandy-taunting parading as burn.

Let's build bridges.

The only acceptable context for Vanderbilt football bashing to be effective smack-talk strategy in the context of SEC bashing is really next-level irony and you've yet to even start washing Miagi's car.

My suggestion is to focus on more direct references and work your way up to triangulation like Cam Newton and Pick Six allusions.

Crawl->Walk->Run.

I'm telling you, Buggs is gonna have a break-out game next week - though it will be attributable in part to having to contain Williams.
