Thank you Coach Frank Wilson for keeping this football program from falling apart

a change was needed and it was made. that's the only reason for the overall improvement in sentiment. in terms of results we're still falling apart just as much as we were two weeks ago.

Guess now we know what happened against UTSA.

How long since Frank was at UTSA? Did they win with his players? Weve already got our guy!!!

Where do you all normally watch the LSU games in Huntsville?

I'm not aware of a place but I'm sure there will be several LSU fans at any semi popular sports bar. WalkOns would probably be a great starting point. and then... Baumhowers?

I'm dead inside now and just watch it with my family..

I’m a Tiger Fan in Huntsville as well

+1

Huntsville has actually been a great place to live. I moved here in 2009. Got divorced in 2010 and then had to endure 2011 in gumpville (and 2012, 2015, all the fun ones). I almost had a pit in my stomach every night just from being a lone LSU fan here. lol. But I'm remarried with 2 kids and life is good. Be quite nice if LSU got it's act together as well.

Frick all of that. We're returning the opening kickoff for a score

nahh. return it to the two. get tackled.
use 3 downs to lose 20+ yards on a hold and 2 false starts.. miss a field goal from the 25 on 4th and goal.

Is it your money, why is everyone pocket watching the program? It’s tired and more than sad.

People with deep pockets make bad decisions too. They could impact things you care about even if you're not very financially invested. Not sure why itd be a bad idea to try to stay away from another huge contract/buyout. unless it's a sure thing.... which doesn't exist.

Outside of the Nuss injury, the players weren't really the problem for the most part this season. Twas the coaching and scheme.

I don't know about that. Perkins is a liability. Some of the wide receivers are non existent. I'll never get that DJ Chester (I almost put and left "Welter" lol) bowl over out of my head. We have plenty of player weaknesses but I can whole heartedly agree that a better scheme is possible and would help.

that kind of sheds a little doubt on that tweet, or whatever that is

yeah I was about to lay into Kelly if this was true. That's just unpalatable at multiple levels for a supposed mentor and molder of young people. Thankfully it doesn't appear accurate. at least IMO.

I would be willing to bet Frank Wilson is absolutely much more affable and empathetic in a situation like that. That doesn't make Kelly a sh!tbag. Where not showing up at all definitely would have.

What do you imagine Brian Kelly is doing today?

probably just thinking about how spoiled we are and thinking of additional ways to bring our expectations back to reality.

preciate it coach..

IIRC we lost Brennan (who was having an excellent start to the season) for the remainder of the year that game.

dude. relax. he's just young or childless. I'm sure you can remember a time when you were more passionate about LSU sports.

honestly, I miss it, sometimes.
with a 30 yard, beautifully thrown TD? doubtful..

We'll probably break a 60 yard run and be tackled 5 yards short of the goalline and lose 10 yards on our next 4 plays enroute to our 3rd loss, 27 - 21.

Our record of failing to score 25 points against an FBS opponent will stand.

Y'all remember that mcneese state opener a few years ago that started but got cancelled due to weather, IIRC?

I remember them saying something like "this is the first time a LSU game has been cancelled since WWII."

Do tractor dealerships not have pick up options?

This is a good point. They delivered it. I never really thought about them coming back to pick it up for service but that may definitely be something they do.

it's a Kioti NS4710 (with cab). it weighs in around 4000 with loader. I'd prefer to pull it with the bucket and maybe the brush hog which would add a good bit. it would probably be doable with a 1/2 ton but I'd be hesitant.

After looking around again though I've definitely swung back to the 1/2 ton side of things. I think I was hasty with my previous assessment of the price difference being negligible.

My wife not letting the camper dream die without serious guilting is the only thing keeping the decision from being absolutely final. lol.

10 year, guaranteed contract.

My takeaway is that fans are mostly pissed at this. It's not about taking a shot at pulling Kelly from Notre Dame.

This is 100 percent correct.

I thought Kelly was a good hire at the time and he appeared to get off to a decent start with winning the West and JD a Heisman.

The contract is the problem. I don't understand these insane contracts especially after Jimbo and A&M basically created the precedent.

I mean sure, do a 10 year contract for 10 million dollars if you absolutely have to. just put in certain conditions that have to be met along the way or any buyout is negated. incentives or consequences. should be an agreeable structure for a confident and motivated individual and a program looking for a good ROI.

Really appreciate the input guys. I may just end up sticking with 1/2 ton.

Bought a tractor recently that I can't (safely) pull with a 1/2 ton. Don't really need to regularly except for maintenance though (once every two years or so).

Was originally doing it to be able to pull a camper but that idea kind of faded and the idea of the 3/4 ton didn't. And I'm reassessing.

1/2 ton truck vs 3/4 ton

Has anyone ever switched from a 1/2 ton to a 3/4 ton truck and regretted it? if so, why?

I'm preparing to buy a new(er) truck and was planning on switching to 3/4 ton.

I have some new towing concerns but nothing super regular. So I'm questioning my choice to move up in size. Would anyone caution against it for some reason?

The price difference is negligible in my mind. The MPG is whatever because I don't drive a whole lot. The biggest negative I see is the size (when parking/maneuvering/whatever).

Thanks!!!
I apologize.

Age 43
Net Worth: close to 3 mil
We spend about 120 a year.
I inherited about 2 mil.
We're trying to get it out from under the tax burden and 1.5 remains (and grows) that we need to move out if the inherited IRA.

We're close to 45/55 in terms of bonds/CDs and stocks (mainly just S&P 500 and some real estate and gold ETFs).

We're taking out 8k a month.

My parents hired and worked with this FA for decades. I do trust him and it would take a LOT to make me move away from him..

What does the phrase "deploy cash" mean? Is this in reference to buying more into the market?

I certainly agree with the "time in the market" vs "timing the market" and of course my FA stresses this. I just can't get over the feeling that our entire financial system is a house of cards and cracks are forming.

re: Inherited Money. Worried about crash.

I'm 43. I retired when my parents passed and weve been able to sustain with interest and not eat into principal.

And yes. I think the FA is suggesting that based on my age. but I retired because of a type of adult onset muscular dystrophy that I also inherited.

The job I left is still asking me to come back but I honestly don't know how effective I am any longer.
