It's not being gay that is medal worthy. It's the courage to openly be yourself in spite of what many people will judge you for, call you, or think of you. Do you also think it wasn't medal worthy for MLK to be black, or was it his courage and what he stood for that makes him medal worthy. Think about it, man.

Football is by far the most manly sport and most people think that being gay means you can't play a tough sport.

Good for him. Nothing wrong with being yourself and being open about it. I hate that it's being made into such a huge deal, in the sense that it shouldn't be something that's unusual or crazy. People are who they are, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Because he's a black football player. Black athletes are suppose to be tough/thuggish/sleep with a lot of girls, etc. Well I guess he's tough and gay. Damn.

So basically like any other human. I like anime and was pretty open about it in school and got bullied. Why didn't I get a news story?
