He's from HitchCOCK, TX. He plays "defensive end" and lead the SEC in "SACKS". Why am I unsurprised?

Also since we're being inappropriate, I feel like a, "this is why a sista can't find no man" comment may as well be inserted to really get the party started

He wants to write a book. That didn't take long.

bothers me is that this country constantly gives Tim Tebow shite for believing in God

I think people give him shite more for parading it around as much as he does and not necessarily because he believes in god. He always drove me nuts because there's some part of the bible that states that one is supposed to pray in private or basically not be so showy with their devotion for the adulation of others or there only reward would be that outside praise.

You don't even need to prove that the Bible isn't true. Burden of proof is on those who say it's true

I don't care if someone is a Christian but I just really don't like that argument

Good for him and football. I can't resist pointing out that he lead the league in sacks. I'm glad that a star football player was the first to come out. Breaking down barriers and misconceptions along the way.

I'm not against gay people in any way. Congrats to Sam for coming out and beat of luck to him. All that bothers me is that this country constantly gives Tim Tebow shite for believing in God and now they praise Michael Sam for being gay.

Couldn't have said it any better myself.

No one gives a shite that he believes in God

It's more that he gets a shite ton of good press for it. Anyone with that amount of support is going to have a group of people who are extremely outspoken about their hate

I've never actually seen an instance of a major media outlet shitting on Tebow, and the only negative things said anonymously by teammates was that him singing hymns on the sidelines were sometimes annoying. A coworker once told me the media hates Tebow because he's a Christian and I was like "Who? When? Give me one example." And he never got back to me. And I mean serious media outlets because any dickbag can start a blog.

The struggles of a white Christian male must be terrible.

For the purposes of rendering judgment upon another, there's a striking, important difference.

No, there's not. Each is imposing an arbitrary personal standard of what is right and wrong (or appropriating one) and using it to judge. I'm sure you feel better about your intolerance. That's the way intolerance usually works.

I am a African American male with a loving and strong pastor of a father in my life. I don't agree with homosexuality and don't find it "cool" either. I think your blowing this out of proportion and I hope your joking..

For the love of god, I really hope you're trolling or else you're an ignorant piece of shite.

It's kind of lazy IMO but it is my opinion. I don't judge gay dudes just like I try not to judge those who use religion to cope with life. Unless they're a douche. Or a Florida QB.

However, people using the god angle to bash this guy are pathetic because they're hating a guy based on some book telling you to.

I agree, because the Bible doesn't tell you to hate Gay people. They are hiding behind the Bible to justify their bigotry.

The Bible says to love your fellow man, and don't judge lest you be judged yourself. Homosexuality is a sin, but so are many other things. We are all sinners, and a gay person is no more guilty of sin than me or you. If a gay person were to seek God, and admit his faults and seek salvation, then he too can be saved.
