Not a Mizzou fan obviously, but it's a catchy tune, and I'd bet that many people don't know what that song is about. They just sing it, not really knowing what it's about.

I mean, of course.
What you described is how people go about pretty much everything.
Activity of the mind is at a point beyond leprosy.
In this case this lack of thought and awareness has resulted in something pretty embarrassing.
In their favor, it would require people thinking for a second to expose this embarrassment and that’s unlikely to happen.

I concur...stupid song, and quite embarrassing in my opinion. Of course I'm an old that doesn't use that word in my vocabulary.

They copied Michigan bigly,
Missouri has been using that song since 2007. Michigan started in 2016.
You are clueless.
With that being said, its a terrible song and the worst possible choice for a hype song.

The song is sang from the perspective of a paranoid and jealous man who is being cheated on
The Jock Jams classic “Turn Down for What” by DJ Snake & Lil John aggressively suggests "another round of shots,' which I feel clearly promotes underage drinking.

IDK what it is, but professor Rico gives off serial killer and/or Kevin Spacey vibes.

Fans everywhere think it is clever when they can say frick or suck a dick in unison. It’s classless, but it’s every fanbase.

Agree...he seems really invested in his numerous anti-Mizzou diatribes.....

Not a cuck anthem. It's from the perspective of someone who is distraught about their love interest sleeping with another man. We don't know if they are even in a relationship with the woman in question, only that the protagonist has romantic feelings for said woman. A cuck would enjoy this scenario, not be upset by it. I have banged hundreds of married women in the Fayetteville, Arkansas region so I am an expert in this field.

Buddy, nobody in Columbia is sitting around with a philosophy textbook trying to unpack Mr. Brightside. It’s a stadium tradition, not a therapy session. The Killers wrote the song, Mizzou students made it theirs. The point isn’t the lyrics—it’s the energy, the unity, and yeah… the perfect spot to remind the world that kU still and always will suck.
That’s the beauty of college football traditions: they don’t have to make sense to outsiders. You can try to overanalyze it all you want, but every Saturday night when 70,000+ people are screaming it in unison, I promise you nobody is worried about your lyrical breakdown, they’re too busy enjoying being part of something bigger.
So yes, you’re missing something. You’re missing the fact that this is fun, it’s ours, and it gets louder every year Mizzou keeps stacking wins in the SEC.

I'm not defending the song or the playing of it but.....
I've seen it played in Tiger Stadium before and the youngsters really seemed to enjoy singing along with it.
I don't get it, but I think it's something the kids like.

I get doing it when they’re actually playing us, but they do it at every home sporting event regardless of who they’re playing.

The self importance and delusion of grandeur of this pathetic prick’s medium football program. He might stick his head in a deep fryer if we even split the series.

No. Next.
EDIT: Just to add some context, frick ku has been a chant in some form or fashion at Mizzou for at least 100 years. Whether it takes form in this song, some other song, or other cheers, it has always been there and will always be there. a state that was anti-slavery because it only wanted white people in its state deserves no respect.

Frenzy, you're gonna have to frick straight off if you are going to make fun of fans and traditions and that type of thing. To do that with that aTm logo next to your name is quite something. You are Cringe University
