Mizzou could never attract someone on Hunter’s level. Absolutely pitiful sports programs.

Outside of football and wrestling, their athletics are terrible so probably not a bad thing.

And had he been left to his own devices Drinkwitz wouldn't have been the football hire.

Otherwise he seemed like a genuinely nice man for an incompetent AD.

Mizzou AD retiring
Search begins

As a UL Lafayette alum, my ears perked up on this. Our AD is Bryan Maggard who came to UL after 21 years at Mizzou. He's extremely well regarded in Lafayette for the work he's done with Cajuns athletics. It certainly wouldn't shock me to see them come after Maggard.

Rumor is that Yurachek thinks Mizzou is the better job. He also is a huge fan of Drinkwitz, wanted him at Arkansas and believes that attaching himself to him is a no brainer career choice. Again, this is just what I’m hearing

Big12 board

It sounds bad but I've been told they're going to put the team forums for Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, A&M, and Arkansas in a Big 12 board to make everyone feel like they are back at home since it is where they all came from.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say they go after Ross Bjork at aTm? First and foremost, it’s a totally MU thing to do. But after this week, there’s no way he wants to stay in College Station nor is he wanted within 500 miles of there. Secondly, it makes MU look good we get a young AD w/ experience at 2 SEC schools. Most importantly, he cut his teeth here. He was a young associate AD here until he got his first head AD job. He loved Columbia, still has a lot of friends in this town, knows the lay of the land and local & state politics and he’s originally from nowhereville KS. so it gets him close to family.

Hopefully who ever insisted on Drink is involved with this decision.

I don't think it could've been Sterk or this wouldn't be happening.

He fricked up bad hiring CM and giving him this ridiculous contract.

CM ran scared at two schools because he knew his 4th and 5th year teams were gonna be pitiful, but we for some reason gave him a contract where it's basically impossible to fire him for 5 or 6 years [1 or 2 left on that 5 or 6].

Sure, he did make the tournament in his 4th year here, but I don't know look at Jeremiah Tilmon, dude went from 10 ppg to 12 ppg and was still fouling almost as much as a senior. Dude can't develop players and they don't listen to him enough for the workhard/defense schtick to work.

That's on Sterk big time.

A lot of big big boosters are basketball guys so that's important. I'd love to see us Fire CM to go along with this. I love the class of kids he brought in but we need someone to develop them

We were in the SWC. We left well before aggie and were never in a conference with mizzou.
