I think the prevailing opinion on Alabama baseball is that we will start caring when Mal Moore does.

We had some great series with Bama in the mid-to-late 90s. Good times. No reason to think Bama can't come back with the right commitment from their athletic department.

Yeah not many students are going to want to go, especially with how the weather has been and how it isn't promoted at all.

I still have high hopes for this team. We played well at Louisville but couldn't get the big hit.

I know the whole forever young excuse, but I really do think Gaspard should get another year at least. This is an extremely young team, and he didn't exactly take over a great situation

this. But then again, it is baseball. As in, "who cares?" Baseball sucks. Especially college baseball. Without a lottery, Bama is hardly able to compete.

We're poor recruiters plus we need a facility change or improvement I've followed Alabama baseball for 50 years and have seen some good Alabama teams......but not lately.

His most recent class was ranked #4 in the country. It's amazing any coach could get any player to come to Alabama given the facilities and the lack of attention from the administration.

Very true. Baseball is sucking hind teet in UA facilities right now. Mal needs to put the new stadium plans on top of the agenda at the next BOT skull session.

This may or may not be relevant to where bama is today, but a family member who knows Wells quite well from his LSU days said that Wells told him in his last yr that the bama players were not wanting to make the committment to baseball like the other top flite programs in the conference. One of the points being that they did not buy into his hardnosed practicies, to the extent several family members had complained to the athletic dept. But with a way above average in sports revenues now available after football's success, why hasn't the administration/athletic dept stepped up? It's been proven at USCe, O.Miss, Miss. State, LSU, the piggies, that baseball can be a solid revenue producer.

Just following the lead of their athletic department.

Who the hell knows. All I know is it's frustrating as shite. Revenue in the athetic department hs never been an issue.
