course last year's Mizzou QB Brady Cook is getting the starting role this weekend with the New York Jets...so there is that

Ugh. The fricking Jets. One of my favorite college QBs Justin Fields went there and it seems he will never be the accurate passer that he had potential to be. Plus he’s more of a running back playing QB. The Jets are like the Browns. They’ll never coach up or develop a reliable QB.

As far as Moore moving onto Wazzu, he’s from the west coast so it makes sense. Who is Mizzou looking at hiring in his place?

ESPN possible candidate list includes Bryan Harsin. That would be a pretty good hire or Casey Woods from SMU. If the offense next year doesn't show improvement the heat on Drink is gonna be ramping up.

How about one of Ohio State offensive assistants?

We just lost our best asset. OC Hartline. Our Offensive line coach sucks arse. There are a few position coaches that Day will probably promote

Probably not, but then again, Brady Cook, against all odds, is starting for the Jets on Sunday, according to reports.

You better hope so or your OOC record in football is going to take a huge hit since 2012

I love this joke about Mangino. He is driving in the Kansas City area and gets lost, so he pulls into a gas station and asks the clerk, "What's the quickest way to 435?" The clerk replies, "Start eating salads."

And Drink was building the program from the ashes pre - Kirby. Those numbers are deceiving.

Did Pribula not get the proper coaching while at Mizzou? When he arrived there, it seemed like he was getting a ton of hype.

.
It definitely looks like he did not get the proper coaching. He had the same problems Cook did. When Zollers replaced him with nothing to lose, Zollers looked pretty good. Then after a week of taking snaps, he had the same problems as Pribula. How can Cook make it onto an NFL roster and Missouri's receivers make it onto NFL roster and have all the problems they did against any ranked SEC teams?

I'm amused by this thread because a year or two ago I remember you guys being excited about Kirby Moore and talking about him one day being as good a coach as Kirby Smart (simply because of their names I guess).

Amazing how things change, huh?

I don't recall any of that. If you can link to a quote that'd be great.
What I do recall is that enough people felt Drink calling the plays was a problem.

I'm not one of those guys who saves stuff on message boards off to ding people later. But I do remember threads hyping Kirby and when I opened them (thinking they were talking about Kirby Smart) they were instead about Kirby Moore.

I likely wouldn't have noticed if his name had been different.

Must suck to continually get your arse kicked by “Yankees”. Even worse you have to live in a poverty state like AR.

One thing is for sure. If the offense doesn't improve next year, we will know that the problem was Drink all along which many people already suspect...

I see where you are going here. Most Mizzou fans would agree that he needs to leave the OC alone and act in his CEO role.

We are hopeful he goes “outside the box” and hires someone with P4 success. And then leaves that person alone to do their job.
