Georgia voting to keep Auburn in the West = Fear of Auburn?
Uhhh... duh?
Didn't want Auburn competing with them for the same spot in the SECCG.

I would agree except UGA plays Auburn every year anyway.

Moving them to the East to keep that stupid Tennessee-Alabama game going ? Wonderful. If 1971 ever comes back that game might mean something again.
Never understood why if that game meant so much those two goobers couldn't just play it as a non-conference game each year.

That makes no sense. Had Missouri joined the West - 2 West teams would have had to move to the East, i.e., Alabama and Auburn.
Wait..what?

It is if you would rather have Missouri in your division over Auburn.

Guess we can do away with that stupid tradition of Lsu wearing away jerseys at home too if they ever do away with Bama/Tenn.

I would hate to lose the AU-UGA rivalry, so I respect the Bama-UT rivalry

6+1=7 is the same as 1+6=7, ok now you try.

I'm a little stumped by this too. I expected Alabama and Tennesse to vote against them joining the west, and Georgia also has direct rivalry ties to Auburn to where that makes sense, but not following Florida's decision. I'm also surpised Auburn didn't vote to push Missouri to the East.

All they had to do is go to a nine game conference schedule and establish two permanent cross-division rivals. Therefore bammer could have kept their precious game with UTKnox and Auburn. Auburn could have kept ThUGA because both would have been in the east and bammer as one of the cross division rivals. Auburn could have moved to the east where we belong. Missouri would have been in the west where they belong.

Did aTm and Mizzou get to vote? If not, this could just be tabled until they are voting members. 4 may not be able to block the other 10, depends on how the conference rules are adjusted.
