I guess they could re-use "touched" from his autobiography.
In 1998 Tennessee, Arkansas, UCLA, K-State, and FSU were among the teams fighting for a shot to the first BCS title game, sounds crazy today lol.
Oh yeah i agree with that, i was just kind of thrown off by the "political" part.
Dye looks like he's been dead for a while now.
Dude i used to live there they would trade like 5 other wins for beating LSU
What are the political agendas you speak of?
Solid posting as usual
Alabama could only muster 6 pts in Death Valley East. They would get reamed in the Dome.

"Alabama came up short, they didn't play their best football game; I was disappointed,'' he said. "I kinda thought this was maybe one of the best teams of all time...they don't have a quarterback, they don't have many good wide receivers, and their kicking game was lousy.

Ouch
2nd from right and center will get it quick, others not so much. La Tech wins 23-16.

Tubbs really got things turned around quickly, they hit rock bottom with the Bowden debacle season in 98, were respectable even though 5-6, then made the SEC CG in 2000.
ESPN has Alabama playing Boise or Stanford in the Sugar; with Auburn playing VT in the Peach LINK
In my dream scenario Mizzou would be in the west though.
Boise more than held their own in the trenches against UGA (who has a gigantic OL), most "mid majors" haven't been able to do that.

Kellen Moore, as previously said, doesn't finish the game.

How many people were saying that about whoever the Utah QB was before that game started?
