Well to be fair Miami wass in a lot worse shape when Richt arrived than UGA was when left. For whatever it is worth Richt's staff did most of the heavy lifting for this class. Kirby will have his chance next year and quite frankly I doubt he will recruit any better than his predecessor.

Yes. Next year UGA fans will realize the draw to play at Alabama is Nick Saban not Kirby Smart or any other assistant. :lol:

What advantage does UGA have? Everyone is not enamored with an unproven head coach. Saban's proteges do not have a great head coaching track record.

He will also take talent away from UGA. Many recruits came to UGA to play for Richt not to play at UGA.

Exactly. Kirby has been riding off Saban''s coattail. Being a good Coordinator does not equal being a good coach.

That is a totally different type of risk. IMHO Kirby Smart is going to worse than Rictbut slightly better than Goff. If he brings that bagman Muschamp he is out of Athens quicker.

Seriously? I keep reading about all the "thugs" at UGA. The most consistent problem with UGA football players was issues around alcohol in a college town where the social life revolves around alcohol use.
Mark Richt has a "good boy" reputation because he runs a transparent and clean program - what you see is what you get. There is none of the "lets call Coach Richt first" when the guys got arrested; arrest records didn't disappear a few hours after arrest nor have charges been dropped to clear a way for a star athlete to return to the field. Coach Richt has been adamant about players facing the consequences of their actions.
Don't believe me? Ask that "thug" quarterback you guys signed last spring.

I used to pick for SEC teams when they were playing against teams from other conferences but after reading all the post by the fair weather fans from the West I will never support a team in the West again except perhaps TAMU.

If Mark Richt looks awesome it is because he has won 107 in 11 years of coaching not because Dooley sucks. BTW a few of those wins were at LSU's expense.
