looking at statlines is pretty pointless. Baxendale's stats arent that great because he had a bad start to the season but the last few weekends he's been back to last year's form. If DVH wouldnt leave pitchers in so long we could have won a lot more games this year imo

I understand that sentiment, but from the same point had we not had so many injuries to key players we could have won a lot more games too. It goes both ways. Either way it will be a hard fought game from both teams I'm sure.

Oh there is no doubt we could lose, but at this second I think we have every right to feel like we have a solid chance of winning considering how good we are playing.

I really thought he was gonna show up this season. He had a pretty good freshman season. Hopefully it's a sophomore slump and he comes back better next season.

He has been rattled by something, looked bad last weekend against FL and gave UKY two runs Saturday. He had Mitch looking like he was doing the "running man" trying to track down his pitches. Now I was hating on Pollo too last year too after he dug us tremendous holes against LSU and FL but he redeemed himself and has been a hell of a pitcher this year. Hopefully Evan can too, but he should have seen his last action this year.

Well this thread was an interesting read. Seems to me diamonddog has been a state fan for awhile and realizes that there is a very good chance state will be state when it is all said and done. here is to hoping we dont do what is considered painfully normal for Mississippi State

I agree. I'm sure the only reason Stratton isn't playing is cause if we beat Arkansas, Stratton can pitch Thursday against winner of Ole Miss/LSU. LSU is probable winner and we should have won the game Stratton pitched in at LSU earlier this season.
